Not saying that only season 1 is good but in my experience season 1 tends to be the best season for the majority of shows because the creative vision is most pure and focused, and all of the best ideas are put forward first, and there's no fanservice. Examples off the top of my head:>Game of Thrones>Breaking Bad (controversial one)>Rome>Deadwood>Mad MenI really think that most shows wqould be better as long movies or at most miniseries.
