I have never seen the wizard of Oz, nor have I listened to Pink Floyd.
I want to do the thing were you can experience both at the same time. Where can I do it?
Or do I have to manually download each one and synchronize them?
>>
it's just a meme they don't sync up at all in reality
>>
That's a lame idea OP. It's stupid, doesn't work that well, and it's not an experience. Just watch the movie. Just listen to the album. They're both 1000x better on their own rather than some stupid boomer meme. If you want to take shrooms or drop acid or something then go for it.
>>
>>220685553
Do you know the AVGN Wizard of OZ game syncs up as well?
>>
>>220685553
just find the individual clips on youtube

Having done it myself, it does kinda work in that there are some very noticeable moments of synchronicity that feel almost intentional, but it's mostly in the first 30 minutes or so, and aside form the perfectly timed bits you're really have to stretch your definition of "sunchronicity" to try and sustain the illusion. Shit like the scarecrow singing "If I only had a brain" while "Brain Damage" is playing seem relevant but when the music doesn't seem to match the on-screen action it feels more coincidental than anything else.

Start the album on the 3rd roar of the MGM Lion, watch up until Dorothy leaves Munchkin land on the yellow brick road then shut it off. It's sorta interesting up until that point but the coincidences trail off hard after that and if you keep watching it just makes the whole idea seem invalid

>>220685653

Both of these guys are wrong, OP, and they hate fun. I did it once and they do in fact go reasonably well together. The murky, creepy random noise on the second track goes nicely with the surreal tornado ride, and the excess of Money also goes nicely with the crazy camera pans around Munchkin land.

It's been a while but IIRC you're supposed to start the album when the lion roars (or whatever the opening studio card is). Maybe it was the third lion's roar.
>>
>>220685553
You have to remember before the internet the world was a very boring place so boomers would entertain themselves with made up synchronicities
>>
>>220685581
its the same principle as pic related.
Any music you listen to is going to have a beat, and in a scene with enough movement your brain is going to find something they can sync up.
>>
>>220685553
Ignore the predictable cynicism here, sounds fun.
Why don't you just torrent the film and play it muted, while having the album playing on a browser
>>
>>220685553
I mean anon, just go watch the wizard of oz. It's nearly 100 years old and arguably a high water mark of cinema as commercial art.
How the fuck do you even make it out of childhood without having seen the wizard of oz at least once? Its a timeless classic.
>>
Do this, but don't use Pink Floyd.
use Stone Temple Pilots - Tiny Music... Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop
the poppy field sequence makes a great music video for Lady Picture Show and you will weep as Adhesive soundtracks them entering Oz's chamber
>>
it's a decently fun experiment but it shouldn't be the first way you experience either of them, especially the wizard of oz.
>>
>>220685553
The wizard of oz is a timeless classic and possibly the most allegorically dense cohesive narrative that has ever been. It’s worth a watch even if you’re a super tough guy like me.

Why do normalfags and especially boomers worship Pink Floyd so much?

Just lie down in a completely dark room and listen to the album on full blast

Unironically this, especially if you have a decent stereo.
The wall and dark side of the moon (and with a lot of the prog rock that came after) have amazing productions with shit layered on top of itself, coming at you from different distances.
Also they're from an era where you were supposed to listen to the whole album, start to finish because they were concept albums so each track is a part of a whole and its worth listening to from in one sitting.
I'm also a fucking sucker for anything with an electric organ.
>>
>>220688101
Because they’re fucking amazing

I don't see why you would want to do that when you haven't experienced either on their own. Listen to all of Pink Floyd's music, watch Wizard Of Oz, Treasure Island and Gone With The Wind. Then you can do whatever you want.
>>
>>220685553
TWOO is the gayest most retarded shit movie ever made. You have missed nothing. Not listening to Pink Floyd however is a different story. You really need to listen.
>>
>>220685553
Did this on acid and the only thing I remember is Money syncing up perfectly with the transition to color
>>
>>220689136
Us and Them is overrated not to say its the worst, I'd say On the Run is, Money is pretty cool for a 7/8 song, they don't have a lot of off time sig songs
>>
>>220689386
Hating on the wizard of oz is crazy, I'm sorry for whatever went wrong for you.
>>
>>220689995
Defending a 70 year old kids movie made by pedowood is pathetic
It's shit and was not worth the deaths and rapes involved by making it
>>
>>220685747
that's how i did it back in the day. nothing lines up at all, but there is one single moment early on where a character (dorothy? scarecrow maybe?) jumps up and yells a word and it perfectly matches the song. blew my mind when i watched it baked as fuck in high school, but mostly it just got me into pink floyd
>>
>>220690048
Oh you're an activist okay carry on
>>
>>220690048
You can separate the art from the artists, retard. There are a lot of creations where I outright hate the creators of it. It doesn't change what the creation is. It's like a child born of evil parents. It doesn't inherent the sins.
>>
>>220689995
>I'm sorry for whatever went wrong for you.
Nothing went wrong. That's why I hate it. I see you happily eat it up. Try free thought and see how it works out for you.
>>
>>220685581
Paul Blart 2 on the other hand syncs up so perfectly that it's hard to believe the whole movie wasn't made for that exact purpose.
>>
>>220690144
Yeah just another insecure 4channel guy who hates everything because you don't want to risk someone pointing out a flaw with something you like

It's bad because it just is okay!!!!
>>
Just hit play when the lion roars
Also don’t forget to pause to see that munchkin that hanged himself
>>
>>220689607
I actually like On The Run more than Money
>>
>>220685553
It does work, but only the first time through i.e. once the album ends, don’t try and repeat it.
Time starts right when Mrs.Gulch rides into scene on her bicycle, Money opens up right when Dorothy opens the door of her house into the colorful Oz world, munchkins dancing to the beat. It’s fucking trippy fun.
>>
>>220690822
Patrician tastes
Worst song on the album is Speak To Me btw but Floydtards will screech that it doesn't count
>>
>>220685937
You do realise that you could do that with any movie and music combo
>>
>>220689341
There's no electric organ in that song
>>
>>220685553
Download Dark Side of the moon and open it in VLC or whatever and set it to repeat. Download Wizard of Oz and play the movie. Try to play the album right when the movie begins, like the intro logo. Also works for Blade Runner.
>>
>>220688101
Because they are genuinely an amazing band, even before Dark Side of the Moon. Go back to your Taylor Swift/Lady Gaga threads.
>>
I once spent several hours arguing with a retard on R*ddit about this. He just couldn't accept the implausibility of it
>>
>>220689995
Some people are not affected by the Mm ultra programming.

Jk, I remember reading something about the Wizard of Oz being used as brain conditioninging by the CIA but it doesn't make sense because the movie came out decades before the Nazi controlled CIA was a thing.
>>
>>220691348
As an addendum to my own post, I had a DVD rip of TWoOz with Dark Side of the Moon overlaid, which is how I know it doesn’t work after the first run. For any passers by still on the fence about the reality of it though, it isn’t just “oh, it syncs up a bit”, nay nay it is fucking UNCANNY.

Me and a bunch of friends after realizing just how true it is watched it with a head full of shrooms.

Peak.
>>
>>220686491
This. It’s also just super important to film regardless that if you love movies you should watch it

I am shocked.
>>
>>220692154
Nta but psychedelic actually lift the veil so you can see something for what it really is. The fact that the album and the movie DO sync does not mean it was intentional. But you have to be a retard to think it doesn't sync.
>>
>>220692190
As shocked as I am at finding that habitual drug users find the meaningless synchronicity between two unrelated media to be "real" and "uncanny"
>>220692190
That means nothing. Anything syncs. Go and take mushrooms right now and pair The Godfather with Master of Puppets and see what happens
>>
>>220685553
How bad are you faggots at Google?

>>
>>220691348
This anon is right. It works pretty well during the first play through of the album. The movie is much longer than Dark Side and each play through and would fall into the coincidence category.
