The end of a true horror show.
>>
Are you really so stupid that you think a show like that could be done with fewer than ten people or something?
>>
>>220692653
Five of them write Trump jokes.

The rest validate them.
>>

They managed to do it with zero "people"

I had to be a part of a company photos thing one year and I managed to dress as Bane and do that pose for the photo that ended up getting posted on the company site.

CBS is boomer central and Colbert got cancelled. No more propaganda for you.
>>
>>220692653
suck dicks, eat shit
>>
>>220692653
Now? Punks under the Queensboro Bridge, $15 a man.
>>
>>220692653
They're why the show got cancelled. The staff is way too big for show that gets such low ratings. Late night is an outdated format, but it can survive if they massive shrink the crew and operate on a shoestring budget.
>>
>>220694358
They probably are only showing a fraction of the staff needed to reliably fill a theater with hundreds of people 4 days a week
>>
>>220694535
They'll have needed a team to manage the audience for every show, sure, but how hard could it have been to get people to show up for free entertainment (OK, "entertainment") - plus, doubtless, free drinks and snacks - in a metro area with a population of 20 million? Pre-internet, sure, you might have needed more people working the streets or whatever.
>>
>>220694748
I don't think they give you free drinks or snacks at show tapings. You just go in, they tape the show, they kick you out. Now making sure it's a crowd of reasonably raucous and enthusiastic people most of the week in NY is harder to do. Luckily there's a nonstop supply of tourists from flyover shitholes who think going to see a tv show being taped is a once in a lifetime experience they shouldn't miss.
>>
>>220694358
>but it can survive if they massive shrink the crew and operate on a shoestring budget.

No it couldn’t. Then it’s just another video podcast
>>
>>220692653
>how many late-night tv show staff does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
>>
>>220692653
Hollywood knew a Strike was imminent and was backed by Dumocrats but nobody gave them a heads up. They won anyway and hired +4 on average to every writers room.
>>
>>220694788
I went to a taping of a show in LA years ago (the understandably cancelled Shit My Dad Says starring The Shat) and they gave out free pizza and some kind of drink (though it may have just been water, the cheap bastards - can't remember), so I'm extrapolating from that. And yeah, I'd imagine a lot/most of them would have been tourists, as I was. 83,200 people a year (400 x 4 x 52) is nothing for a city the size of New York.
>>
>>220694892
>83,200 people a year (400 x 4 x 52) is nothing for a city the size of New York.
Yeah no shit, if they opened their doors to anyone I suppose they could fill the auditorium with derelicts, addicts, the homeless, and whoever else was walking by when the doors opened

But irl they want the seats to be filled with enthusiastic people the viewers at home can see themselves sitting next to, so it's not quite as cheap as hiring a single tout to get people in the doors

if colbert would have reduced his salary ti 2 or 3 million per year all those people might still have jobs. they must hate him.
>>
>>220692653
Here, I'll break it down for you:

1., The white women do nothing.
2., The nigger women do ABSOLUTELY nothing.
3., The nigger men do things poorly.
4., The jews don't even enter the office.
5., That chink on the side, and some token white men operate and manage everything.

There, that's all you need to know.
Sometimes the funnyman, and the audience isn't even in the room together at the same time. They film the interview, and just cut it with an audience basedpogging to an empty room, or a projected playback.

Anyway, less boomerslop goyslop.
Good.
>>
>>220695566
I'm merely suggesting that it wouldn't have taken considerably more people than are shown in that pic to fill that theatre regularly, as you or maybe another anon were suggesting. Even discounting undesirables. You show the number/website during the broadcast occasionally; you maybe have a few (tard) wranglers to bring in a few extra tourists if needed on the day. In no universe does that requires hundreds of people, in the centre of one of the largest cities/metro areas in the world, frequented by tens of millions of tourists a year. You know, unless it's some scammy union thing.
>>
>>220695749
>Yeah dude just put on a good show and they'll show up
Moron
>>
All those people for a show that gets less view than a podcaster that runs a 3 man operation plus a couple of clip cutters.
>>
>>220695768
Jesus - who fucked you in the ass? You're angry at someone doubting the claim that (I'm guessing) 150-odd people are only "a fraction" of the staff needed to keep that theatre filled? Why? If you know I'm wrong, then prove it. No need to be a little bitch about it.
>>
>>220695831
Cope

Now let's see that seethe
>No need to be a little bitch about it.
There it is
>>
>>220695831
(I mean, thinking about it, if there are 400 seats, and you're employing more than 400 people to fill those seats… If this is the level of business acumen at CBS, no wonder it's been cancelled. Not that anyone's been worth watching since Craig Ferguson.)

>>
>>220695858
I doubt you'll oblige, but it's too tempting: how many people do you think it would take to keep those seats filled? Can you give us a number?
>>
>>220695908
She was also exec producer on other shows. The one I liked was "The Detour".
What i didn't like was her turning my favorite new show into her fucking soapbox.

Woke whores are the death of kino. Why won't /tv/ admit that?
>>
>>220695975
Sure. But they always come back, don't they.
>>
>>220696026
Name one
>>
I remember watching those behind the scenes conan videos where he messes with his staff and these late night shows are basically filled with fake jobs like "junior producer" who just print out random garbage they find on the internet for material and shit
>>
>>220695858
>>220695978
I guess you need a team of people to help you answer that, huh? You know, as much as I dislike AI, in your case…
>>
>>220696110
>and these late night shows are basically filled with fake jobs like "junior producer" who just print out random garbage they find on the internet for material and shit
Essentially yes. Lots of hangers-on who need that cred to get their next job
>>
>>220692653
>>220696110
Yeah, at least half are juniors and assistants
I would also guess many of these people pictures worked on the show but don't currently work there.
Still way too many people for filming one bloke on a stage tho
>>
>>220696364
>I would also guess many of these people pictures worked on the show but don't currently work there.
why would you think that
it's this >>220696110 (you responded to this one even) and >>220693695
