Man, they used to air The Head, The Maxx, Cyber Six, Spawn, and John Callahan's Quads on Teletoon up in Canada, super late at night - I remember being half awake, and seeing this shit, like it was a fucking fever dream.Need to watch The Head again, I marathoned The Maxx not too long ago, and enjoyed it.

>>221043019It's funny to think that animation was actually a better place in the 90s where adult animation was still in its infancy so you had creators putting jokes adults could appreciate in kids shows, but then you had stuff like Liquid Television be super experimental and stuff. When proper adult animation became established it was just for adult comedy only. The experimental and more dramatic stuff gone. Sure there's attempts to bring more elevated adult animation back, but it just isn't the same. Invincible is basically a kids show that allows swearing and gore for instance.
