>>3377176Eh, the second one is definitely better. Ruby's facial proportions in the first one are out of wack, as are Cinder's torso and head. The linework is much better on the hands in the second one. Their grasp on shadows is also much better in the second one. Really the only thing the first one does well is side-step a lot of details by using solid dark areas/no shading, and that the second picture stuck to cell-shading whereas Ruby's face in the first one is blended.

But it doesn't make sense for long term partners who have fought side by side for years and lived together not talking or interacting with each other without it being plot related.

V3 was kind of a cutting point for the show where we lost a lot of the "old guard", many of which happened to be WR shippers IIRC, like Funblade.Funblade, Xunnies, Xekstrin, Ivorytowercrumbles, dogtit, Jenii - All of them had huge impacts on the fandom in the early days and they're all gone now, for the most part. It's a shame, I miss the time when they contributed. But fair enough, not everyone can be a hyperfixating autist like me. Especially for a show as bad as this. Being a RWBY fan that isn't a brainless normie is suffering.
