https://www.igamesnews.com/sony/tonari-no-kyuuketsuki-san-ends-in-the-next-3-chapters/Given just enough chapters to fill one more tankubon- but not enough to wrap up anything. Disgusting.
And just after one set of girls came out.
>>3505743We have a general for this type of news crossboarder
Three more chapters is not really enough to settle the Sophi/Akari/Hinata/Elle love qudrangle in any meeningful way. Sophie has to make a decision regarding turning Akari, Hinata has to give up her crush on Akari, Ellie has to confess to being in love with Hinata.
I know part of the problem was bad pacing on the authors part. Still there are just so many lose ends.
I am really going to miss this series. Really had hopes that it would get a second anime season too and get the manga picked up by a US distributor.
>>3505743NooooDamn this was undeserved, will add this to my yearly rewatches
Was this actually axed out of nowhere or did developments just become glacial? Were there really not enough chapters yet to develop all the characters and plot lines?
Had it been published by Kirara, it would probably get treated better.Or maybe that' it. Go work for Kirara from now on, dear author
>>3505743Yeah, I'm sure it's cune's fault it wasn't selling well enough or that it never developed further than your average SoL.
>>3505949Does Cune have like only ONE good editor? The one who works with TKMZ on SS and SSR? Otherwise someone would have said something about the pacing and they needed to get to some of these loose story threads.
Well that really sucks. I love this series and always buy every new volume on release week. I never expected it would end suddenly without solid closure. The characters were all really gay and they could have given the series a wonderful ending.
Still mourning what could have been.
Welp, I guess we should give up getting this in English (either from lazy scanlators OR anything official) RIP in pieces.
>>3505743Did it really get axes or is it just ending? The series has been going on since 2014, so the author might want to finish it.
>>3514340We won't know until we see how rough the ending is but I'd expect they would have announced the last chapter with more advanced notice if it was planned. A lot of series with planned endings announce that the next volume is the last one. This only left a few chapters before announcing it was over so there's less chance that it was intentional.
>>3519412This needs to happen in the very last chapter.
>>3519744It would be storytelling perfection but SOL manga authors rarely have the guts to do something extraordinary with their endings. Imagine the final chapter starts out as just a normal bubbly chapter but slowly darkens. Throw in a few callbacks to the first dozen chapters when Akari met Sophie, when Akari learned out about vampires, etc. Maybe Akari mentions being overjoyed at all their time together but sad that they only have so many years left, Sophie can pretend like all of this doesn't phase her, intersperse a few more moments of domestic bliss with Sophie acting just barely different enough to be noticed. Final page is a 2 page spread where she takes hold of Akari and makes a bold statement referring to their time together, and sinks her teeth in. Curtain closes, the end. Omake can be elly banging hinata at that point and it still wouldn't outshine the ending.
>>3519833What you just described could easily fill an entire year. Sadly it does not look like she was given enough warning. But if she was going to slow, why did the editors not say something a year ago? Apparently the author found with 4 chapters to go so we did get this >>3505744but it also just happened to occur at the end of a short arc about those two and the gang spying on them during a date so it seemed natural.
>>3519854The lack of warning could work in its favor, I'd even prefer it if it came out of left field without any buildup or anticipation. Even just suddenly doing it and then doing a time skip showing they're happy daily life with all their immortal friends would be fun. Either way it can't ruin anything since the status quo for this series was always extremely gay. It would be nice for something amazing and memorable to happen though.
Guess it's time for this again:And as her blood is sucked, Akari can feel the heat being drained from her body through her neck. The tips of her toes turn ice cold as the sensation runs up her legs, through her thighs, and through the reaches of her nethers as it continues through her spine while her fingers lose their heat one by one. Following the numbness is a tingling; faint at first, but slowly getting stronger in waves. Whenever she feels like her brain cannot take it any longer, she is overcome with pleasure screaming in every nerve in her body, more and more, over and over again. The most sensitive parts of her body harden and twitch, her limbs spasming from the inescapable cascade of sexual energy. And with each pulse, her muscles grow stronger, her bones tough enough to lift a road roller, and yet her skin almost feels like it's thinning, becoming sensitive to even the slightest light—which, in turn, amplifies the prick of Sophie's fangs, the feel of her wet tongue on her neck, the slight dribble of saliva and blood mixed together dripping down, sending a shiver to her deepest parts. Yet her transformation does not end there; suddenly two pangs of pain explode in her back, her body instinctively trying to reject the wings growing from her shoulder blades. It feels like torture, like it goes on forever, until finally, with a dizzying burst, they shoot from her back in the greatest orgasm of Akari's life. Breathing heavily, her entire body trembling with each flap of her new wings, she slumps down into Sophie's welcoming lap, sliding through the puddle of love juice exuded from her quivering pussy, but basking in the sensation of being reborn as Sophie's eternal lover.
>>3520424Holy shit that's hot! Did you write that?
>>3520427Nah, it was written by somebody on one of the discord servers I'm in.
I hate the way Japanese magazines make authors have to give them half control of their IP in order to get published. The Kyuuties would be much happier over at Kirara but that will never happen.
They will be so missed.
Final chapter next month
>>3543779>wedding dressesI'm not ready to be disappointed, please author-san don't fuck this up.
>>3543840We need Sophie to bite Akari not marry her.
>>3544810>I now pronounce you wife and wife>You may now bite the brideWhy not both?
Is there anywhere I can read the raws? Either tanks or just cune issues are fine I guess.
This month is the final chapter. And that will be it unless there are extra pages added to the tank that releases in December.
They got a cover for their final appearance.
>>3547684I just buy tanks on Kobo. They're often on sale because it's Kadokawa. Some manga DDL blogs have some volumes too, e.g. manga-zip dot net slash archives slash 236570.html
Did anyone bother to scan the last chapter?
>>3570331The raws are out and it's absolutely nothing. A completely useless chapter. We only got a side couple and that's it. All the teasing on the main four characters was for nothing.
>>3574013Fuck, not even the world's sexiest lesbian vampire could get a gf? Since it was axed this was always the biggest fear but this really sucks, I doubt they will give the author leeway to do anything with a special chapter or followup with doujin releases either.
I wonder how much merchandise they'll keep releasing for this series now that it has ended. I'm surprised it got so much after the anime ended.
>>3587187Let this thread die gracefully, please.
>>3587254That acrylic standee is cute, where do they sell it?>Full wall muralNever saw that before. What is the cross section of otaku who are big enough fans to buy that and also have the free wall space to display something like that?
>>3587270It's actually a window curtain
Look at the last couple chapters. This non ending clearly shows that this manga was cancelled, not a voluntary ending. I wonder if we are even going to get another tankubon because the last couple chpaters are not fit for a tankubon ending.
>>3587273Well that's a weird use of art then, the sun will bleach the colors out of it. I guess it is ironic that vampire art is being used to block out the sun though.
>>3587274It was definitely axed but they'll make a tankoban for it without a doubt. Fingers crossed the author does an epilogue or releases doujins for it down the road.
