>tfw Lucky Star aired 15 years ago>tfw there will never be a season 2Posting best couple (1/4)
Didn't they get married to men in a spinoff or something?
>>3670269Not in the anime, in the manga maybe.
I love them.
I will never forget them
>>3670269Their relationship was kinda played up in the anime, in the original manga they end up going to different collages after high school and just don't hang out that much. No boyfriends tho
>>3669134my favorite yuri
When someone writes a doujin that shows Konata being incredibly shy in intimate scenarios underneath all her bluster, and Kagami becoming a ravenous sex beast when she's finally alone with Konata, that's god tier right there.
>>3672299This is the only viable reading.
>>3672299Ever since I watched the concert scene in the anime, that's all I've wanted. I'm glad many artists agree.
>>3677228Keep my light novel's name OUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH!!!
Is there any doujin or art of Tsukasa and Kagami? Or anything with Misao?(best girl btw)Either way GREAT thread OP lucky star is based and this reminds me i need to look into some lucky star doujins
C'mon faggots, step it up.Incidentally, is Dragon Maid the natural successor to Lucky Star? The animation style is like nothing Kyoani has done since then, and yurilicious situations a-plenty. What say you, /u/tards?18/7/19 never frogit.
>>3685083No that title goes to Watemote
These two are so cute together. Not so much fanart. A travesty.
I love this picture. Imagine the incredible lust Kagami is holding back in this moment
>>3691697She's probably trying to decide how much she can move Konata's leg to her crotch without getting caught.
How many of /u/ are here today because of that concert scene?
They would be in their thirties by now, right? Soon they will get married when Japan legalizes it, then they will have babies in 15 years when IPS cell technology is perfected!
I don't think Top!Kagami makes sense
>>3693659The concert scene showed me (and presumably all those artists) all I needed to see to picture a submissive Konata and a top Kagami.
This is neither here nor there but I like when Konata has some pubes, and in general when she's drawn more like a petite/malnourished teen and less like a literal child. Also it makes it cuter when Kagami loves her body no matter what
>>3693667And Kagami's a competent, smart girl with steel in her spine. She's only on the defensive because she's unsure about their relationship and Konata keeps pushing her tsundere buttons. Once they get to sex, there's no reason for insecurity and she can unleash the beast.
>>3697598Kona Kaga is the best /u/ doujin ever written. I never get tired of it
>>3697631It's pretty good, though a little over the top and Tsukasa's way too OOC. I like Lucky Point, even if the "Konata will die young" stuff is melodramatic (though not an unreasonable interpretation given Konata's mom).I'm also really into this for asking what the cute girls in subtexty cgdct shows think about the subtext that is never mentioned: https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/beyond
Most underrated pairing in the show
>>3697988Are you talking about Tsukasa being piss drunk? Don't take it too seriously.
>>3698201That's the worst of it, but pretty much every appearance she makes is some bizarre joke. Lucky Point's Tsukasa is still funny, but also pretty observant and supportive of Konata and Kagami's relationship. Granted, I don't actually remember her canon characterization all that well, so grain of salt and stuff.
>>3698268Tsukasa is pretty badly characterized in the actual show. She just bumbles around like a retarded preschooler
I like to imagine the situation in this picture. In my mind this is before they've admitted feelings for each other, Konata is trying to play this off as a joke to shock Kagami ("didn't we say this was strip Mario Party? aaah but it's so hot in here I don't really mind") but is secretly hoping it will flip Kagami's switch
>>3699179Of course, she might be able to hold it in for today but at the very least she'll run to the bathroom and violently jill off
Wasn't it said that one of Kona/Kaga wasn't actually gay?
>>3700099I always miss the 80% chances...
>>3700099What does it say
>>3700099Recently I have rewatched the show and noticed how little yuri bait/content there actually is in the show between Konata and Kagami. Maybe like 3 scenes in the entire show. Maybe I assumed otherwise when I first watched it because it was one of the first yuri couples I shipped. (not the first, but one of the)
>>3705764I don't think you can really say it's just the big scenes that count as yuri content when the reason everyone ships them is their regular dynamic.
>>3705816You could say that every friends(and even non friends) couples have "dynamic", thus I never considered those in my shipping. "One is always teasing, the other is always angry" is not "they are so in love" in my book. However Kagami getting flustered and red in the face because she thinks Konata is visiting her when she was sick and realizes how sweet Konata is, certainly is, especially when compared to when she didn't react even close to this when the others visited. Normally a normal friend would be like "Huh, I guess you have a sweet side to you after all" not what she did (I can't even describe it in words how gay she was acting, that's how gay it was)
>>3705764Welcome to 99% of "yuri"
>>3705764They were different times. Spitting distance became a meme for a reason.
>>3724880Yutaka was such a nothing character, I had to actually look up her name to write this reply
>>3724880Need more casually bottomless Konata
>>3725074>Yutaka was such a nothing characterIronic, considering she was the most canon /u/ character in the show
>>3725106>the most canon /u/ character in the showbut that's the green girl who wanted her cooch.
>>3693141>How many of /u/ are here today because of that concert scene? That's me, I think. My first ship.
Would a new L*S anime even work in today's market? I'd probably end up watching it for nostalgia sake but at the same time I'd be scared it would mess with the charm of the original.
>>3726738>>3726793Just make it a sitcom about a straitlaced attorney and her cooky LN writer wife's everyday lives.
>>3726738>>3726793It's an SOL anime where 90% of the dialogue is them explaining why everyday phrases or things that you take for granted in general are the way they are. Seems pretty simple and timeless. Obviously there's some scenes where they reference something but who cares? People who watch this are otakus, they still know their fucking gundams and yugiohs.
>>3726850I also remember that there was a spin-off with the poor sisters, it was very short and not really very good either.Realistically, it's been a long time for a proper second season.
>>3726850Except everyone lost their shit when they announced a new Haruhi a few years back and it was trending for ages, basically the Half Life 3 announcement of the otaku community. Clannad still gets new crossovers to this day, meaning people still think it's popular. Gundam is still known and people make references to it constantly, in fact very recently a Gundam scene became a viral meme in Japan (the "I will kill you" scene from Wing which got hundreds if not thousands of fanmade re-draws). People don't just forget these things you know. Do you forget who Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny are even if you don't watch their new stuff? No, they are household names, and all the series Konata references are ingrained in otaku culture. Also again, most of the show is timeless discussion about everyday things, the references are a minority. Also, half the show? You mean one scene where Konata dresses up as Haruhi in a cosplay cafe, the song playing in the concert scene and the Haruhi bikini commercial? Come on. You could have watched Lucky Star without ever knowing anything Konata is talking about and still enjoy it, because all that matters is that you understand that Konata is a geek. You don't need to watch G Gundam to understand that the over-the-top comic store owners are a very very clearly parody of anime tropes. Just like how the MMORPG Konata plays with her teacher doesn't need you to play a specific game to understand the scene.
>>3726939>(the "I will kill you" scene from Wing which got hundreds if not thousands of fanmade re-drawsWait nevermind, that was a different series, whoops. Either way, Gundam is still one of the most referenced things in Japan, people use reaction images from it all the goddamn time and they're making a giant goddamn real life Gundam in Japan (albeit slow as shit). People lost their shit over that.
Scenario (based partially on a real experience I had):Konata and Kagami are still just friends, and haven't admitted that they like each other yet. During a normal sleepover, Konata offers Kagami her bed while she sleeps on the floor. But in the middle of the night, Konata sleepwalks, and when she's done she strips nude and throws herself into the bed where Kagami is (because she's used to sleeping nude when alone.) Kagami has to spend the rest of the right just inches away from a totally nude Konata not knowing how she should react. Should she try and slip out and pretend this never happened? To wake up Konata? To cop a feel while Konata is in such a deep trance? Or pretend to sleep through it all and let Konata wake up first in the morning?
>>3731743You having wet dreams doesn't count as "experience", also that is straight up out of a eechi anime. Plus Konata doesn't sleep in the nude, she has those shorts and tanktop that she always wear at home
>>3731743I'll only accept this if Konata's faking it.
>>3731749>>3731835I said partially based on. The nude part was my personal fantasy embellishment and the person wasn't someone I was attracted to, but someone offering me their bed only to get in with me after sleepwalking really happened
Is it true that the author said that one of them was gay and one wasn't?
>>3761852I've seen that around but I've never been able to find a reliable source for it.I will say, if you read the manga the gay factor is way less prominent. The anime producers were clearly much more into the ship than the original author was.
>>3768091Pube Konata is underrated
Lucky Star manga is resuming after being on hiatus since 2014.The anime was always more gay than the manga but we'll see what happens.
>>3774679It's weird to imagine continuing a manga after 8 years because the author must have changed a lot during those years. Wonder what direction he'll take it.
>>3774707Nichijou came back after an even longer hiatus and it's still more or less the same.
>>3774679Didn't it phase out the original cast as they graduated high school?
>>3775027I don't think so? I know K-On did though.
>>3775027It still follows them in college, whle the kouhais remain in high school.
>>3778744I love this. So much.
>>3672548God I need more, MORE
I've always loved KonaKaga and have been disappointed by the drought of content. CELTRANCE, I need you more than ever now, man.
>>3786961Celtrance has served us well. he deserves a rest
>>3670269Not so far. They recently announced the manga will continue. Let's hope for the best.
>>3761852As far as I know he said "the crush is at least one-sided", that's all.
>>3786961Like all artists, he eventually got bored of Lucky Star years ago and moved on to other series. Now most of what he does is Precure.
Come on now.
>>3809706Glad someone other than me remembers that. The only version of Gyro Zepelli's cheese song I will accept. Fuck the All Star Battle version
>>3768091Thumbnail makes this look like they're in a finger frame
>>3820639So fucking sexy
I will always this scene and it made my heart explode https://youtu.be/6fBFX2oUu0w
>>3828499That's what did it to me
