Anyone know what was the first all-girl adult (pornographic) movie? For some reason googling this question is fruitless as it just brings up porn sites. Maybe not the right thread to ask this, but it does concern the history of cinema so maybe it is.

Bollywood movie Badhaai Do is on Netflix. Fair warning though it involves the lesbian marrying a man but he's gay though and basically they're each others beard. Story is about a 30 year old Lesbian who tries to avoid her mothers demands on marriage and then tried online dating with a girl but the person she was meeting with turned out to be a guy who then later stalks her so she goes to the police station. Meets the cop who is gay, interrogated and punished the stalker and finds out that she's a lesbian. In order to get their families off each other's back about marriage they decide to get married. It's comedy and their is a lesbian romance in it plus it includes a happy ending.

>>3717481heh>>3717479I'd probably say to keep watching from 36 on now too, since they've yet to do a teamup fight since Hana just got her MAIN CHARACTER form, but like they've been gradually setting it up for like the last dozen episodes but it's really started kicking up from 33-36 now, but even before that, Hana/Aguilera's arc could be seen as freeing herself from comphet, because she was raised to be a corpse sacrifice to a demon, and knew nothing else, and when she asked for advice from the demon's statue a hand came out and slapped her. Sakura/Jeanne's freed her from that fate completely and became her safe place to belong to.
>>3717479Or fuck, wait, did you mean the Gokaiger girls in the video? They kind of give it a hard nod when Luka(yellow) wants to eat a pink macaron(Ahim's color, also present in the same scene) at a restaurant by stealing it from the other character she voices(a pink robot)

>>3721015>her lesbian friends admit they don't read yuri and instead consume BL because it doesn't have le male gazeRead a neat little essay a while back where the author postulated that, while wishing to avoid the male gaze may play a part in the phenomenon of lesbians avoiding material like yuri, it's quite likely a symptom of the wider societal stigmatization of female sexuality. Thus they avoid something that can be seen as "Male Gaze" both due to that stigma, as well as wanting to distance their own attraction to women from that of men.
>>3721262That could explain Noelle Stevenson and Elliot Page
>>3721015>le male gazeJust because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it isn’t true. Most yuri is marketed towards men these days, luckily for us that won’t annoy us because we are men.
>>3721269I totally understand how annoying the am I kawaii uguu can be for females in general, not only lesbians. Deliberately making ugly characters is going too far
>>3721274Maybe they’re ugly to us but not to them, like butches.
>>3721274Isn't that popular among girls in Japan? From what I have read japanese woman like cute things, latinamerican woman like also sexy things and anglosaxon woman like, idk, you are the weird ones.
>>3721280Yes. They're also popular among western girls into anime subculture. It's just a shitty "no true lesbian" shtick that rapidly falls apart when you talk to other women or lesbians who aren't part of those circles that subscribe to that.
>>3721280don't blame us
>>3721305I'm not blaming you but you need to understand that other countries have different likes and dislikes thanks to their history. That made me remember the podcast of a couple of argentinian woman that said that korean yuri was male-gazey because their clothes were too girly and they always used high heel shoes, even for running, I guess they didn't know how glamour and fashion obessed are the koreans and that's the same in this case with the exception that I don't know wtf do you like.
>>3721280Everybody like cute things in Japan and the kawaii esthetic born in shoujo but there's a difference between the cute things that appeal to families and OLs and the cute things that appeal to ronery male otakus. Also the Japanese market is influenced by their collectivistic mindset, which mean the individual try really hard to fit into a criteria. A moe otaku will try really hard to be a moe otaku and buy overpriced merchandise while a train otaku will give his best effort in his collection and a gal spend hours and a fortune in her make up. Yasushi Akimoto found the way to capitalize this and that's how AKB48 made it into the mainstream, at least during the 10s, not so sure now considering Japanese teen girls are currently obsessed over k-pop.>>3721297>>3721315To be fair, Japanese lesbians are westaboos because their own culture reject them so the logical next step is to embrace the foreign culture with their inclusion, PC culture and pronouns. I think it's probably the same in Argentina. Also anglos won the cultural battle a long time ago. America is a decadent empire but still an empire.
>>3721354Who are these "Anglos" I keep hearing about on the internet???
>>3721354>PC culture and pronouns. I think it's probably the same in ArgentinaKek, maybe in the surface but they are just as perverted as anyone else. The podcast begun with a talk about boobs of all things ans they complained that Kodama Naoko made them too unrealistic but it is kind of obvious that most japanese woman are chestlets but I guess that was funnier for them to say it, idk. What I read on the latinamerican part of the fandom is a almost cynical "tolerance" towards the pronouns shit, a lot of them act like westerners about it but then they just ignore anything that had a "woman" or "not-woman" in yuri, Wonder Egg and Ayakashi Triangle.are forgotten there with the exception of the outspoken perverted males that like them, nothing too surprising to be honest because that is how things work here, I guess is the same in Japan so I think that if they get their rights they will try to blend in their society again, maybe with some new dinamics but I really doubt that they will have a similar culture to their anglosaxon peers.
>>3721361>Kek, maybe in the surface but they are just as perverted as anyone elseAccording to Zizek, the current PC culture isn't a rebellious movement but instead a puritan movement based on outrage. Personally I find it extremely Christian despite many of its followers are atheists/agnostics and /pol/tards larping as Christians call for a holy war against them. The body is sinful by itself and what's below the waist is dirty and shameful. It's St Augustine with blue hair and a twitter account. Something is happening considering Noelle Stevenson and Ellen Page cut their boobs. Even pornstar and open lesbian Nikki Hearts recently cut her boobs. This is beyond an isolated case.
>>3721368That's the difference in the continent, we "simulate" moralism with words but our actions are entirely different. Sadly there are few to none lesbian media made here for us, to stay on topic, so I can't give a example about how things really work here, maybe a spaniard show or movie? I think there was a spaniard movie about a married couple with a son but maybe I'm confusing things. Now that I think about it the lesbian from " El Ministerio del Tiempo" is a most accurate description of the "ideal" latinamerican lesbian, ironically, a attractive and strong woman.
>>3721368what's PC?
>>3721394Personal computer.
>>3721354>Yasushi Akimoto and AKB48I got out of that fandom like 3 years ago but still follow some of the girls. All 48 groups are still doing gravure and that's the most media presence many of the girls have. The overuse of blatant sexualization (gravure instead of sexy movements and tiny skirts like in k-pop) shun away the general public and tarnished the image the group once had.You look at fans at concerts and HS events and they're your average creepy old guy or loser otaku who spend their lives pinning after idols. It's shameful for japanese fans to say they like AKB nowadays. My take is that this alienated the normies and specially the female fanbase, as cases of suposed sexual favors and overt sexual stuff by ex members started popping up.Tl;dr: japanese teens don't care for AKB. The only current members who actually attract lesbians and/or yuri interested girls are Okada Nana (years ago came out as bi, may be actually gay, says she likes both yuri and BL) and Furuhata Nao from SKE48 (may be a lesbian for real).End of rant.

When AKB48 became a thing, idolshit was going through a rough time and it was only consumed by wotas. Perfect Blue was filmed during one of idolshit's lowest points but around the time when the movie was released, Morning Musume put idols back into the spotlight. Our Love Story (2016) was a nice love story in the beginning, but later in the movie there were some interactions that only partly make sense. >>3725022The problem is the budget. Frankly I'd love to see a live action for a more grounded title. Citrus could work considering it's basically a J-drama with lesbians or YagaKimi if they want an artsy flick but the truth is yuri is far too niche even for low budget Japanese productions. That leave only a netflix adaptation and let's just say if netflix is the only choice then I prefer nothing

>>3725745Oh, yeah, I meant it'd have been interesting to see like, Himeko realizing her mangaka thing was just an infatuation and not love, even if Reiko tried to seduce her or something like that. Just a little what-if!
>>3718598>>3718876I rewatched the whole series again. Still not worth it just for the /u/, but it's a fun show, and season 3 and season 4 part 1 have put the /u/ character in a good position for some actual payoff in season 4 part 2. Season 4 ep 1 and 2 started strong with Robin talking about Robin's new crush and awkwardly flirting but that slowed down significantly once the story put everyone in danger as usual. I think it's likely that Robin is going to confess to vickie and/or do something awkwardly endearing that will result in a kiss in part 2. Robin is firmly in the main cast so there's a lot of her in the season which makes it more fun to watch. I was surprised she didn't come out to Nancy after all the awkward talk about how she isn't with steve, but the show is really pushing how accepting people in 1980s Indiana would be so I guess that's more reasonable.

>>3726905The vamp girl kissed her bff, who is also gay, when they were kids. Its just /u/ being retarded, bitches here rec you stuff with full on het and then cry for the most insignificant shit.
>>3726646Just finished it. It was great, loved Calli and Juliette's chemistry and dynamic. And that angst at the end just hurt me right. Here's to hoping it gets a second season.
>>3726848Wow
>>3726936>Here's to hoping it gets a second season.Amen to that, finished watching it.I never thought I would enjoy such a story but the actresses did it for me and I want more. Even the monsters looked decent for such show. But knowing our luck it will get bombed reviews for having two lesbioan leads and we will never get another season, hope I'm mistaken.
we need more blatantly horny MCs like Juliette.
>>3726984well, with how Netflix seems to cancel their good shows willy-nilly these days it might not matter what the reviews areIt does seem kinda low budget on the effects side of things, so maybe that'll put it further back on the chopping block.
Sometimes I wonder why do I bother. Just for you coffee-nee. Episode in one hour.>What's this?A virtual get together to watch /u/ related movies and tv series >What are we watching?First Kill episodes 1 and 2 >I'm in, where do I go?https://w2g.tv/fciis4wc61xltew40d >Joining for the first time?https://pastebin.com/ZF2WQYnf
Apparently First Kill is doing pretty good with viewers so it might have a chance of getting a s2 maybe...if it doesn't fall too harsh viewerwise.
>>3726646halfway through it now. the one glaring problem is how low budget it is. they really gave them pennies to make it. other than that it's fine. cal and jules are great together and elinor is insanely hot.
>>3727667>>3727667Episodes 3 and 4 in 1(one) hours bitches
Juliette in First Kill sure is a beauty. This show is a bit corney, but not too bad.Dude eats her mother and she doesn't even blink an eye?
>Romeo & Juliette inspoInb4 sad endingThere, series saved. It won't get a bad end now. R-right?
>>3729131Tune in this weekend and find out
Okay, here's the truth: First Kill is very poorly done and the hot girl is the sister. The dialogues are horrible. The family dynamic is cringe and they need more effort in these shitty scenes.I can't point out one thing I liked.
>>3729394Same.Still can't wait for 2nd season though.
The one thing that did annoy me was the amount of songs they'd fit into an episode. From the first episode alone, I think I heard more than five songs in the span of ten minutes. I still really enjoyed the show though, despite the obvious low budget. If there is a second season, I hope it doesn't go the Motherland route where the main couple finally meet in the later end of the season and now that I think about it, it kind of ends similarly to that show too with the lovers to enemy kind of thing.
>>3715758This is way more of a /u/ movie than I expected based on your comment and I'd easily recommend it for the /u/, even going as far as to say it had a /u/ movie at its core. The secondary MC is a lesbian with a gf and the mom has chinese american daddy issues, kinda like Saving Face had the MC swapped around with her mom, but with a way higher production budget. Major spoiler the /u/ is also the driving force for MC's universe's mother-daughter conflict which ties into the multiverse's overarching conflict with jobu tupaki and evelyn.. Really loved watching this and I think I will watch it again next week.
Finally got around to binging Wynonna Earp. It's been much more enjoyable than I expected. I did not expect it to end in such a happy place, nor for it to have so much Waverly and Nicole.
>>3729524Wyonna Earp is the closest thing to a cult classic I think I’ve come across in regards gay tv. Waverley and Nicole’s story was a massive part of the show from pretty much start to finish and it’s a really solid show overall, yet no one I speak to has ever heard of it. I’m also guilty, I’ve never watched the final season.
>>3729528I admit I did not have high hopes after season one because I figured they exhausted their gay budget, but instead they turned it up to 11.>spoilerwhy not?
>>3729539Inertia, mostly. It’s almost always more appealing to just stream something on the console that’s connected to my tv than torrent something else and then relocate my laptop from where it’s set up at my work desk. WE is one of the reasons I’ve been toying with the idea of finally setting up a media server though.
>>3729394Yeah, I'll be surprised if this gets a 2nd season.
>>3729394If I can watch god knows how many episodes of Carmilla, I can watch First Kill for days.Fingers crossed for a second season so they can cast Katie McGrath as the goth lesbian vampire she was always meant to be.
>>3730058Bitch the views is getting are insane, a second season is a very real possibility. And its making so many of you losers so mad, lmao.
>>3730074>very real possibility>making so many of you mad?? This your first netflix show? Learn what anger is.
>>3730070Pretty sure she was a lesbian vampire in Dracula, but it was so bad as to be unwatchable so I only got a couple episodes in.
>>3730074We will see, Netflix gives more seasons only to things that have a lot of views on its first week
>>3730074Hopefully they keep the momentum after the first two weeks of release, but it's amazing how good the show is doing so far. With Netflix shows, you gotta always be cautious since it feels more like they renew/cancel shows through random lottery. I think it took Heartstopper more than a month to get renewed, then again, that's a mlm show and you know how people always eat that up.
>>3730081She was turned at the very end of that season, and it was never renewed for a second. I'm still so mad about that.
>>3729524Going on a trip with a 22 hour total flight time, what do you recommend if I were to start from season 1. This or Motherland?
>>3730154Motherland:FS is fun and the f/f pair are hot as hell.
>>3730154Are you not sleeping the whole time? Motherland is only 20 eps so you'd run out if you burn through it nonstop, wynonna is 49 eps so you'd have plenty for the trip back too.
warrior nun might actually deliver
>>3730161Flying coach and I can never sleep in coach. I have space on my iPad to bring both so ill probably bring both.
IDK if this is relevant but in Lightyear.
>>3730642do you know what live action is
>>3730642Is that movie good enough to justify a toy store dedicating an entire aisle to a single toy based off it?
>>3729394>First Kill is very poorly done and the hot girl is the sister. The dialogues are horrible. The family dynamic is cringe and they need more effort in these shitty scenes. No truth detected
>>3729394I couldn't get past first episode, acting and writing is truly awful and no amount of /u/ will make me finish it. Kind of expected, it's a netflix teen drama after all, target demographic does not care about such things.Won't be surprised when it gets renewed though, main lesbian pairing will be bait enough.
>>3729394>poorly done>horrible>cringe>shittyWhen's your youtube video essay dropping?
>>3730706If people had warned me that this thing is literally like some CW show, I wouldn't even have wasted my time watching it. It's popular, but I won't be watching it again even if it gets renewed for another 12 seasons. I'd rather wait years for Motherland to come back.>>3730694>>3730713Underage is prohibited on this board, you have to go back to your Vampire Diaries forum or whatever.
Seeing The Boys newest episode it seems they decided to write Maeve character off in typical bisexual slut way and there's nothing lesbian related in it anymore.I wish they stopped making female bisexuals in such shows if their only fate is to fuck guys in it to show how bisexual they are. Also the shitty moral standards in the show why we didn't see a lesbian mini superheroine go into another girl vagina to blow it up but it's ok for gay males to do so in their form?
>>3730758>Underage is prohibited on this boardIndeed, >>3729394 should've known better than to break GR2
>>3730154I've only seen a couple of motherland episodes but wasn't amazed enough to continue.I guess you'll have to decide what's more appealing to you - campy gay cowgirls or dramatic gay witches.
>>3730983>why we didn't see a lesbian mini superheroine go into another girl vagina to blow it up but it's ok for gay males to do so in their form?Because women aren't degenerate like that. And I'm serious. Maeve wasn't even bi in the comics so I, still better than fully straight?
>>3731005>Maeve wasn't even bi in the comics so I, still better than fully straight?Seeing how they resolved it with fake lesbian messaging it would be better to not make her bi at all, either commit whole or don't add that just for some horny males enjoyment since she fuck with guys a moment later anyway.
>>3731027Do you follow the show? Maeve is the team's lgbtqiaizhfhzodj alibi, they bank on it, and who cares if it's real or just for fun. She fucks men, women are just an escape, as shown with the orgies she did and her so-called girlfriend whom she broke up and didn't give a shit about moments later. You shouldn't expect lesbian romance in this kind of show, especially when the character is a bislut and a piece of shit.
>>3731040Yeah that anon is talking like this is news when we knew the show has been shit for /u/ for years. Only good superhero type tv show with respectable /u/ has oddly enough been peacemaker.
i wasnt going to watch first kill because i assumed it would be like, Cursed or The 100 levels of bad but i clicked it by accident and the opening song sold me on it
>>3731051>Only good superhero type tv show with respectable /u/ has oddly enough been peacemaker.Don't forget Supergirl with lesbian being one of main cast and having a wedding ending and also Batwoman with lesbian MC in all variations, but quality of both were well still worse than even First Kill for me.Sad thing is if you want some quality in such type of shows you should not expect having lesbians in it as main characters.
>>3730758Just a quick reminder that Motherland 3rd and (confirmed since last year) final season premieres next Tuesday.
>>3731240first kill was excellent, i really enjoyed ittoo bad it wont get a second season>>3731261supergirl and batwoman are both soap opera tier schlock though and that doesnt work for a superhero showplus not making kara and lena gay really tanks the shows /u/ness

Irma Vep HBO show has a bisexual female lead and her scenes with her female-ex are hot, but you can guess from start it will end badly from yuri fans side.
>>3731559The bisexual lead never chooses the girl
>>3731559In the original movie, the costume designer was a lesbian and had a crush on the lead (Maggie Cheung). Maggie (playing herself) found out and didn't outright reject her, but nothing between them really happened.

>>3732569Fuck, I knew there was something missing. It's two episodes a day.
Finished watching First Kill today, it ended pretty much exactly how I thought it would. Overall, I think it started on a high note and petered out a little at the end, but I still hope it gets a second series. It felt a lot like fanfiction turned tv show, but what it lacked was - ironically - campiness. First episodes were top fun, and I wish it continued to be that instead of hard-headedness fueled misunderstandings galore it turned into by the end.Still, the cast I found pretty likeable (except for the hunter dad), and apparently it got some good views so far. I remain hopeful.Has anyone read the short story it was based on?

>>3734740I watched for all man kind season 1 and 2, and it is 100% not worth it for the /u/. It is a small part of the story and the lesbian part of the story is shit upon for most of it. The lesbian is in a beard relationship with a gay man for most of it and fucks up her attempts at relationships with women for the rest of it, and this is maybe 10 minutes over two seasons. It is really not satisfying in any way for the /u/ and the rest of the show is painful soap opera trash far too often so only watch it if you're really bored otherwise it is difficult to get through those parts. The high budget space scenes are the only fun part.>>3734936>>3734937I rec D.E.B.S and Saving Face all the time. It was my gold standard for a happy and enjoyable /u/ movie experience.
