What happened?
I remember last thread the AI produced art looked like eldritch horrors with no faces. There look like actual humans. Did things really improve that much in a few weeks or are some people using a different tool than the freely available ones that gives better results?

It's NAI with default settings. 2girls, yuri, robot joints, cyborg, android, prosthesis off the top of my head.

If you haven't already, go to Danbooru, and search "android yuri" and see what other tags are in an image you like. A tag with a lot of images is more likely to have featured in the training, so I target them when inputting prompts.

Yes, it's not magic though, when I have used the hentai models I often found glans merged into finger tips and nipples and things like that. Hasn't happened on NAI yet but I also very quickly gave up on trying to generate a half-decent sex scene in NAI because as soon as it tries to generate naked women in close contact they start to squid.

Like many others, I followed the previous thread and I was surprised how it went from horror blobs to actual good illustrations in the span of only a few months. I was waiting for a new thread to have more information about it but this OP is really low effort, no links or info.
Obviously I tried to look it up myself but I couldn't find anything useful. I've seen sites explaining how it works, like, you write the tags and the AI draws the pic or you draw some lines in Paint and the AI turns it into an actual illustration, I know the AIs need to be "teached" by showing them illustrations but I can't understand how they can learn what part of the pic is connected to each tag.
Then, everything I find is for waifufags, they only show examples about a single girl looking at the viewer and it's obviously not what I'm searching. And anyway they require a subscription for anything, there isn't even a free trial to make you try it and see if it really works and if it can do what you want.

So any links? With guides and explanations if possible.
I'm also searching for a place that collect the resulting pics since the Boorus are on a crusade against AIs. I saw they are on Sankaku but that site is cancer. I don't get what they have against it. I can understand artists that are scared to lose jobs, commissions and subscriptions but what have everybody else against it?

I'd have done it myself but I am subject to some kind of range ban that prevents me starting threads.

Feel Stable Diff/u/sion General is a good thread name.
>>
>>3815034
>but what have everybody else against it
It's just copy-pasted bland garbage. Look at the images in this thread: you give it "robot girl yuri" and it puts out a bunch of iterations of samey-looking, long dark haired girls with robot limbs replaced at the shoulder and hip, staring blankly towards but not really at each other. No gallery wants to be flooded with 150,000 versions of the same not-quite-hime-cut dark haired girl in near same pose. It doesn't help that it's been aggressively shilled by one specific group >>3815041 just meta-spamming across a dozen boards, putting even more people off.

>Responding to people begging for guides partway into a thread
>It doesn't help that it's been aggressively shilled by one specific group

Think you might just be bitter. The only legitimate complaint is about volume. People should show some restraint when sharing their outputs when they are making a thousand versions of the same thing a day.
>>
>>3815049
Volumen isn't really the issue. It's the same familiar faces, worn out places, worn out faces
And also the fact that all we've had is robolesbians. Nothing against them, but we should have some variety.
(At least make robo oneeloli or something)

But can't you make it better by adding more specific tags? It's not like we don't already have very similar characters across various anime/manga series.

>shilled by one specific group just meta-spamming across a dozen boards
I could see something was weird the moment I see shit like /h/ and /d/ crosslinked here thinking anybody would ever click on it. I guess it's just a copypaste that doesn't answer to /u/'s specific needs.

>>
>>3815055
NAI seems to really lean on a much smaller subset of its training for NSFW, losing a large amount of the style imparted by other prompts and producing the obvious NAIface, NAI nipples and NAI pubes. All the robogirl images I posted have had similar prompts relating to style and composition, but as soon as sex stuff gets added it falls into the same style. Overcoming it through model merges would be a fun exercise for later on.
>>
Are the links to /h/ and /d/ necessary? There's nothing in there for /u/s
>>
>>3815079
Necessary no, but if you want to work out how to get better results the coomers are putting way more hours into that side of things. If finding guides and touring other boards is gonna make people faint then just subscribe to NAI.

Seems inpainting is the way to go for clothed imouto/naked oneesan. Steps:
1. Generate some SFW txt2img of them hugging/kissing/whatever.
2. Send to inpaint, mask off her torso using the prompt "nsfw, torso of a nude mature woman with large breasts facing right" if she's on the left, or vice versa
3. Set inpaint at full resolution to true, mask blur of 5, CFG scale 7, denoise 0.75
4. Roll them dice until you get something half-decent. Send back to inpaint, lower denoise to 0.4-0.5, repeat.

It seems that my potato computer managed to filter me out of this. Then again, I'm trying to do some real 21st century supercomputing with a rig that lags horribly when playing Doom (the '94 one), so I don't know what was I expecting.
Who knows where the tech will be by the time I get a better computer. Maybe we'll be playing with incredibly photorealistic stuff by then.

I see why artists are in full panic mode. Give it 3 years and AI will replace them.

No more dealing with some mentally ill faggot who takes forever to draw a shitty commission or those artists who (((get sick))) 2 times a month.
>>
>>3815663
Well, my pc is fine but I'm wasting hours uninstalling and reinstalling everything and trying various solutions and yet I can't get it to work anyway, it even fucked up my antivirus. It's incredible it makes you install 20 GB of stuff and yet it can't give you a simple GUI and you have to make it work on your browser.
It seems somehow it's a DNS problem but I've set the Google's ones since forever, I have no idea what I should do, nobody else seems to have the same problem.
>>
>>3815670
If I were an artist I wouldn't be panicking at all. AI can't make anything original and gets all its material from already existing art it steals from the internet.
>>
>>3815677
And that's enough for me. That said, the people trying to make a name for themselves with their "AI art" are at least as cringe as the butt blasted artist community. The irrational hatred of the technology is annoying but at least recognize the output for what it is on terms of its artistic quality.

>The irrational hatred of the technology is annoying.
>at least recognize the output for what it is on terms of its artistic quality

Thing is the vast majority were willing to give Ai "Art" a chance but then techbros starting feeding it other peoples art without permission and tried to pass it off as their own, which was the first nail in the coffin for people's neutrality towards it. Then theres the Kim Jung Gi incident where someone fed his art into the A.I and pissed everyone off, also that one guy who screen-capped an artist twitch stream and fed it to the A.I before it was finished and pissed even more people off. there's also the illegal use of confidential medical images used by one of the A.I's for training.

Basically people were willing to give it a chance at one point but the malicious and extreme misuse of the tech pretty much made the majority of people turn on it and just hate not just the tech but anyone who uses it.
especially in japan and south korea where people who use A.i image generation will just get harassed off the net eventually.
>>
>>3815720
>>3815670
anytime I requested AI supporters for a simple image request, I never got any result or just incredible bad ones. I still say it will take at least 40 years before it becomes anything reliable.
Right now, sure, at first for some weeks people will go "Wow, I can just put in 'Elsa from Frozen fucking a dildo' and I will get it!" but the novelty will wear off after seeing that every picture will look the same. No new poses, no new artstyles, always 6 or 7 fingers per hand etc.
And before you start "Look how much it improved in these past few weeks!" No, it hasn't. It's a code they have been working on for years, and even back then they could do something of this level. The only thing limited them was how much they were willing to publish for the public to see/use.
There is a youtuber who does videos on tech like these, and he has been doing it for like 5 years now, and the tech he showed 5 years ago didn't look any worse than the ones that are used nowadays.
It's the same with other tech like VR or robotics. After the initial prototype, they will only smooth out some problems, maybe improve the functionality by like 50% and then it will start to stagnate for decades.

I just wish NAI didn't have to be stolen or used through an online service. Just sell me a fucking product, don't try and control how I use it.
>>
>>3815935
there's also the problem that most art collectors and the general public already associate A.I "art" as either valueless, cheap, or an outright scam.
sure the tech is scary for artist no doubt about that but it seems that the majority of people place more value on a piece if the art was made by a human.
that being said i believe that even if the tech becomes widespread enough that everyone uses it, human made art will still be valued if not more simply because of the addition of the human artist. art is more than a pretty picture in the eyes so to speak.

>Is it possible for this tool to produce one completely human girl and one robot girl?

Certainly possible, but due to the random nature of the model it's hard to do it with any certainty.

With straight text2image (What people tend to think about when thinking about "AI art"), it's hard because the model cannot distinguish well between characters when applying the prompts. For example if you prompt short hair, both girls will likely have short hair and so on. But if you generate enough images, you might find something close to what you are looking for. I really like outputs where one girl is more mechanical than the other so I tend to hang on to them but have very few with passable anatomy and a completely human girl after thousands of semi-random generations.
>>
>>3816259
>For example if you prompt short hair, both girls will likely have short hair and so on
What if you write '1girl short hair, 1girl long hair'?
>>
>>3816259
Isn't that a good use case for inpainting (img2img)? Make both girls robots (or both humans) then change only one girl through inpainting mask.

Continuing from>>3816259, if you have a better idea of what kind of image you want, you can produce it in steps, focusing on individual elements. Here, I generated a yuri image with no cyborgs, then using inpainting, made it an image where there is one completely human girl and one semi robotic girl. You can imagine if this were done in more steps, with more generations, the left bride could be completely robotic, but in the interest of discussion I'm rushing a bit.
>>
>>3816266
Ha, was getting to that, see>>3816271. Inpainting is really amazing but my joy from this is seeing what the model shows me with only a limited theme in the prompts so I haven't done much with it.

>>3816262
I tried something like this, trying to dig up the result. Because NAI uses danbooru tags and the SD images are captioned, but without any consistency, you can be fairly sure the two 1girl tokens in that prompt aren't doing anything helpful. But if you include long hair, short hair, there is a decent chance of ending up with both, one or the other, or a wild hairstyle no one ever dreamed of. But unfortunately there isn't a fully human tag in Danbooru. If there is a tag for images where one person is completely naked and the other is fully clothed please let me know, been trying to find it.
>>
>>3816271
Wonder if you could mask either of the girls entirely and replace her with, say, a loli.

Looking at viewer is a pretty sure fire way to find out of something is yuri or not.
Go check out cover for manga. If there are two girls being intimate on the cover while looking at each other (or sometimes in the distance), its yuri most of the time.
If they are looking at you, it's probably hetshit.
I was bamboozed by this shit plenty of times at the book store before I figured it out.

Sure, but it's not as if we have to guess the creators intent here. The person who generated the image is in the thread, used (yuri) in the prompt and that office is 100% staffed by lesbians so no matter if they are looking at each other or towards (you), they are 100% going to smash eachother and the person on the other side of the screen is not invited. If I wanted to generate images of straight or bi girls I wouldn't waste time in such a prickly thread.
>>
Can you use AI generators to make fanart of existing characters or is it just random?
Like, will we ever be at a point where I can ask the machine to draw a picture of my favorite yuri couple and make it look like Taka Tony drew it or something?
>>
>>3816671
It should be possible. Don't know if the AI knows who's who, though.
>>
>>3816671
From what I can tell. It depends.

If it's a popular character, and a well known artist, the AI can nail it. You can easily get asuka's out of it, and make it in the style of artists who have thousands of pics on boorus (With waifu diffusion, and NAI, out of the box SD barely does anime, and it doesn't do it well.) The thing can spit out Touhou's like it's nothing.

If you want lesser known characters, you have to describe them in detail, and settle for a character that kind of looks like them.

For lesser known characters, and less popular artists, I'm told you can get the AI to do it if you do a Textual Inversion embedding, train a hypernetwork, and make a new model with dreambooth, but I have no iead wait any of there are, how the work, and what's the difference.
>>
>>3816806
My biggest problem with this is artstyle actually. The generic SD can do a variety of artists, but not anime; the NAI model can do anime, but giving it top danbooru artist tags at high weight has next to no impact on the image.

Prompt and model for this one? I wish 4chan didn't strip exif data

It's NAI with default NAI settings (28 steps, clip skip 2, cfg scale 12, eular sampler), closeup, closed eyes, kiss, all the robogirl tags from danbooru, or at least robot joints, prosthesis, android, cyborg (I only use mechanical parts, mechanical arms and/or mechanical legs when I want them really robotic), and the tiniest bit of alphonse mucha that sometiems simplifies the shading and fabrics whilst giving a good outline. I minimally prompt so there's tonnes of variation between seeds.

But closeup, closed eyes, kiss, and a landscape aspect ratio are great for kisses, no matter the setting
>>
Oh right and masterpiece, best quality to force the NAI style as a starting point. For some reason inputting that part of the prompt always makes me cringe.
>>
>>3816562
Wasn't referring to the images in this thread, the artistic intent is basically none existent because its all made by a cold unfeeling and unthinking machine that makes images it was trained to do in accordance to parameters given to it by the commissioning yuri fag (you, in this case).
Looking at viewer is a real thing that often insinuates "this is drawn for guys so they can project their threesome fantasies on the image", the machine can't do that intentionally though, unless explicitly ordered to.
It could have a bias towards it, though, depending on what material was used to train the thing. So the AI may just interpret "looking at viewer" as part of yuri, because it can't pick up on the fact that it's not "really fully yuri".
You feel me sis? Not your fault at any speed.

The model is "berrymix". I followed these instructions from /g/ to make it: https://rentry.org/berrymix
Except I used F222 (https://rentry.org/sdmodels#zeipher-f222-female-nude-better-anatomy) instead of F111 when creating the mix (shouldn't change much). Kind of a pain in the ass to get it but I'm happy with the results.

As for the settings they're all a variation of:

realistic, masterpiece, highest quality, high quality, highres,
fullbody shot,
2girls, (loli), cute, detailed face and eyes, (yuri: 1.1), kissing, lying, blond hair, brown hair, school uniform,
by Jeremy Lipking, by Antonio J. Manzanedo, by (Alphonse Mucha), digital painting, [smiling], [closed eyes],
Negative prompt: lowres, bad anatomy, bad hands, text, error, missing fingers, extra digit, fewer digits, cropped, worst quality, low quality, normal quality, jpeg artifacts, signature, watermark, username, blurry, out of focus, censorship, ugly, old, deformed, extra limbs, extra legs, amateur drawing, odd, fat, morphing, black and white, monocolored, (looking at viewer), 3girls, naked,
Steps: 24, Sampler: Euler, CFG scale: 8, Seed: 3512343400, Size: 704x960, Model hash: 2e41a25c, Model: animefull-finale-pruned_0.95-sd-v1-4_0.05-Weighted_sum-merged_0-f222_1-Add_difference-merged_0.75-r34_e4_0.25-Weighted_sum-merged, Denoising strength: 0.7, First pass size: 0x0

Most of the images had "by (Alphonse Mucha)" removed because the results would get way too Alphonse Mucha'd sometimes.
>>
>>3818083
Much appreciated. Took me a minute to get one I was happy with with my mediocre graphics card.

I actually did something similar with my berrymix when I made it the other day, using both SD 1.5 instead of 1.4 and f222 instead of f111, but I don't really know a thing about model mixing.

True, but even so people are figuring out ways to improve on what exists. Ways of squeezing out more from the prompts.
>>
>>3820155
The algorithm being the same doesn't mean things haven't improved. training exists, for example, sd 1.5 is supposedly much better at drawing hands and limbs than 1.4 (among other realistic things) simply because it had more training thrown at it.
The algorithm doesn't necessarily need to evolve for the tech to "improve". Burning AWS and Azure hours goes a long way in improving what we already got.
Also, unfortunately, the biggest obstacle the tech appears to be facing right now is legal, not technical.
>>

I agree, but it's what seems to be happened if Stability AI's words are to be believed. Not that Stability are the main protagonists behind SD. From what I understand, they were just the middleman between RunwayML (the main party responsible behind SD technology) and the public.
On the other hand, while artists are relatively powerless to stop these technologies, the music industry is a whole different beast when it comes to that.

Berrymix seems to do particularly bad with human anatomy compared to SD or base NAI. These are extremely cherrypicked examples and they're still riddled with imperfections, despite being just simple poses / kisses. (I was already getting bored of generating in this style anyway)
Can't wait until this tech evolves to the point where generating perfect human anatomy in dynamic poses (specially when > 1 humans are involved) becomes trivial.

That's the problem with calling these things "AI", they are not intelligent, at all. They don't know "human", they don't know "tits", they just know when someone asks for a person, that image 1,2,6,7,8,11,12,15,21,23,56,67,68,69 includes "person" as a tag, and that among 2,6,7,8,21,23,68 there are some lines visible between those other lines, and these lines usually go upwards in a circular motion. It doesn't know why there are sometimes 1 line, 2 lines or 3 lines, it just knows that it matches the lines in several of other images.

that is why "AI" is still decades away from being actually useful

problem is most of the training data is just solo images so it doesn't know what to do when you introduce multiple people

someone would need to train a model specifically on images of couples to get good results probably

Dude, the people who actually pay money for art always required more than just random basic art like this. They want specific kinks, specific characters, specific styles etc.
AI can't do those things at all. Look at this thread, people even have trouble making the characters even look at each other
>>
>>3823365
NTA but that's not wholly accurate. It's a mix.
>>
>>3823388
I've requested on several occasions people who think highly of AI to give me an image. They never delivered. Do you want to have a go at it?
>>
>>3823393
I dunno why you think I think highly of AI. I'm just pointing out that this:
>Dude, the people who actually pay money for art always required more than just random basic art like this. They want specific kinks, specific characters, specific styles etc.
Is a factually inaccurate statement. It is a mix. Sometimes people want specific stuff, sometimes they just want a generic picture of a character or a picture of a character with some simplistic feature like "in a(ny) swimsuit".
>>
>>3823396
>Is a factually inaccurate statement
I'm someone who does commissions, and there has never not once been such a simple commission in all those hundreds of commissions I have done. Maybe for some OCs people have come up with, but AI can't do OCs at all anyway. Plus even "character in swimsuit" AI can barely do without making the character look like "random OC that has the same hair color as the requested character", now add in a specific swimsuit(which I've gotten commissions before, giving me specific references for the swimsuit) and you fail big time with AI

>I dunno why you think I think highly of AI.
sheesh, maybe if you had been more precise before instead of a super vague "that's not wholly accurate" I wouldn't have to guess what you disagreed with
>>
>>3823330
Looks great
>>
>>3823401
>I'm someone who does commissions
Same? I've seen plenty of simple commissions, and know plenty of other artists who have gotten simple commissions before. They're not some rarity. Most people don't have every detail in mind when they're commissioning something and more often than not, I have to chase details by asking clients follow-ups like "do you have a specific outfit in mind?" because they're frequently not specified. And even then, half the time they just come back with "whatever you think would look nice".

>I wouldn't have to guess what you disagreed with
I mean, the initial statement is applicable to both of your claims. It's not accurate that "people who actually pay for money for art always require more", it's a mix of desired specificity. And it's not accurate that "AI can't do those things at all", it is similarly a mix, sometimes it can put in a very decent attempt at a style, sometimes it can re-create specific characters well, some fetishes it can process fine. Being bland, unethetical garbage that produces more bad than good doesn't change that there are places (like character commissions) where it is a recognizable threat to artists.
>>
>>3823430
I think we have simply have a different understanding of the word "simple"/"detailed"
For example, the kind of request I ask of AI enthusiast is "Sakura kissing Hinata from Naruto on the cheek, with show accurate clothing"(and of course no merging into each other or stuff like that) nothing more nothing less. No one was able to produce this kind of request.
You can't tell me that the "simple" commissions you speak of are even more simple than that? They must be like 3 dollar commissions you ask friends to do.

Two characters interacting is a weak point for AI
>Sakura and Hinata from Naruto in a rose garden at sunset, with hinata in a fancy blue dress and sakura in a pink one
is an equally or arguably more complex request that could probably be produced with inpainting and successive iterative attempts.

>Draw any girl holding up the number seven on her hands
Is a request that AI will struggle with, but which is exceedingly simple
>Draw a cyberpunk version of Elsa from Frozen at night in the city
is a much, much more complicated request that the AI could again, probably handle quite well

The first is so simple it is unlikely to ever be commissioned, the second is complex but very much the sort of thing someone might commission.
>You can't tell me that the "simple" commissions you speak of are even more simple than that?
Yes. I have gotten commissions where people just wanted "anything" of X character. Poor ad hominems aren't going to change that many of the commissions artists get asked to do are simplistic and don't specifically involve things that AI are terrible at. It doesn't need to be flawless, it just needs to be passable enough to tilt the cost-benefit ratio enough to make an invidual decide it's not worth paying a bunch of money for that extra polish, quality and thoughtful intent.
>>
>>3823444
please tell me where to find these people who commission stuff like that. Millions of artist would swarm you if they could get requests like these. And this is not meant to be sarcasm, i am legitimately asking you where to find these people.

Also funny that you complain about shit like ad hominems, when NONE of your examples are about the example I asked of people.

Sakura and Hinata with show accurate designs is NOT complex, no matter how much you change words around to make the request different and sound complicated. My request is incredible simple and yet something a person might commission. Stop fucking around and be honest for a god damn second.
>>

https://www.pixiv.net/requests/24968
https://www.pixiv.net/requests/97847
https://www.pixiv.net/requests/96097
Here are four examples pulled from the paid request section of my pixiv feed. I've gotten simplistic "just want a character" commissions via email from tumblr, from DA, from twitter. Basically anywhere.

>Sakura and Hinata with show accurate designs is NOT complex
I didn't say it was. I said that the example I gave that the AI -could- theoretically handle was equally or arguably more complex than your example. Both are simple, "simple" is a level of complexity. A square is as or more complicated than a rectangle, both are still simple shapes. None of my examples are about the example you asked for, because the example you asked for has a specific problem: character interaction. The AI isn't incapable of that request because of complexity, but because it's a subject it's not good at. That's not a counter-argument to the idea that AI threatens to replace artists, because it doesn't need to be able to do EVERY subject matter to be able to do some of them, and therefore potentially displace humans. Nowhere did I claim it was going to replace everyone, or even a majority, just that you are WRONG, commissions are frequently very simple and AI threatens to take some of those more simple commissions out of human hands.
>Stop fucking around and be honest for a god damn second.
I feel like the issue here is that you just don't understand what is actually being said because of the language barrier.

>I've requested on several occasions people who think highly of AI to give me an image. They never delivered. Do you want to have a go at it?

Thinking highly of AI doesn't equal being a capable user. Or a user at all.

>>3823431
>For example, the kind of request I ask of AI enthusiast is "Sakura kissing Hinata from Naruto on the cheek, with show accurate clothing"(and of course no merging into each other or stuff like that) nothing more nothing less. No one was able to produce this kind of request.

Were any of these "AI enthusiasts" actually users with skills beyond loading a model and feeding it prompts? Was there money on the table? I imagine if you went around challenging random "pencil enthusiasts" on the internet to produce the same request you'd end up with similarly poor outcomes.

Its obvious this software is not going to meet the needs of every potential art customer in either its current or final state. But it's equally obvious that it can meet some people's standards/needs as it is currently with txt2image and (if necessary), inpainting, and will meet more people's requirements as the models get better. The small but growing number of users with the resources and know-how for quick textual inversion will be able to satisfy very specific commission requests with txt2image and inpainting, and will likely become competitive as commission artists. The subset of those users who already possess some digital art skills for modification, touch up, corrections etc will be especially competitive as commission artists.

Thankfully those skills and resources are out of my reach for now so I've never felt the temptation to stop generating robot women in love with each other for my own viewing delight in favour of making straight Disney and Shounenshit characters have sex for others. I wouldn't pay more than a dollar for pic related, but I was delighted when the software spat it out. It's a toy as much as a tool.

I set everything up following the retard guide. Using the NovelAI leak. I take it this model is only good for SFW because when I tried making nudes there would be no nipples or genitals.

Not entirely sure what I'm doing with tags. I told it to draw "a girl with short red hair kissing a girl with long blonde hair in the style of tony taka" and this is what it gave me after a few attempts. Also had to include an eye contact tag because they seem to default to looking at the camera.

Don't know why the redhead also has long hair or why they aren't actually kissing.
>>
>>3825157

>>
>>3830152
There's a sfw and a nsfw model. Typically, you use danbooru tags. Artists were made less powerful, so you use embeddings and hypernetworks, but that's more advanced stuff.
>>
>>3830152
You need to learn the prompt weights. Stuff between [brackets] will have less weight and will therefore be less prioritised. Stuff between (parentheses) will have more weight. More ((parentheses)), more weight.

Try writing "girl with ((short red hair)) (((kissing))) a girl with ((long blonde hair))"
>>
