I'm not the OP of this thread or the last which got deleted, but the old thread is on page 9 so I think it's fine to create a new one. It's not like these threads never get any replies. I also am trying to work on a VN and want to post my first draft here eventually (hopefully soon!).

>>3853895do you guys think my ya novel about a princess who goes to a magic school and the school bully falls in love with her would sell
>>3853895>Personal Yuri Projects>Do It Yourself in the OPKek. How fitting
Finished reading Our Lonesome Nights Together, it was good. I enjoyed the protagonist being neither suddenly hypercompetent and a social butterfly, nor completely useless sadsack. Although I'm pretty sure by the end Brianna jobs enough to qualify as a helpless maiden in comparison so the MC can do another self-sacrificing move. Fun times and character relationships. Carlotta a cutiepieFor criticism I wasn't a huge fan of the plot and would have probably liked it more as SOL with existentialist/social awkwardness as angst vehicles. Also did not really get invested in the Janine stuff, doubly so with little payoff this book. Finally I don't like the sequel cover, sorry.
>>3862147>did not really get invested in the Janine stuffIt comes in and leaves off in as n i underwhelming way in the first book, but I think the next one does a good job building on it and making her a compelling character.
>>3862147>>3862347Thanks so much for the feedback, nee-sans! I definitely agree that the pacing and plotting in the first book is sloppy, and the payoff could be a lot stronger. Lonesome Nights was my first attempt at a full-fledged novel, and I think it shows. If you liked the characters, definitely please think about reading book two (even if the cover art isn't your thing). I think it fixes a lot of Book 1's issues and is a piece I'm overall way more proud of.
So I know things are usually better in your head and I know I'm not a particularly good writer but I started writing a VN idea I had before. I've swallowed my pride and braced myself for embarrassment so if you'd like to, please read it and let me know whether I should burn down Google's datacenters so this never again sees the light of day again or not. It's just a first draft of the very first act (five planned) . It's about 15k words. The premise is that the MC is a totally average American yuri fangirl who enrolls in a cliche yuri-like girls' school to live out her fantasies, but quickly comes to find that there's an actual secret cabal behind the scenes (the named faculty) who are really pulling the strings to make everything as yuri as possible while still maintaining cover. The first act just covers the introductions of the characters at a basic level with the next being where she gets found out by the cabal, inducted into it, and placed as the student council president as a means for the cabal to yurify the school from within the student populace.https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GUE5cAZwV0zbQLUI6y1wfIFcA15mskF5BqytgOSSBD8/edit?usp=sharingThe romance paths for the last act will be Blanche, Veronika, and Miss Izzie.
Can anyone recommend any manhwa or Yuri sex scene or panels? I want to see what would be good and what to avoid, also post your preference
>>3870123Do you want soft metaphorical sex scenes or more grounded sex scenes? Manga like Yurika's Campus Life and Asumi-chan is Interested in Lesbian Brothels have a lot of the latter to examine.
>>3863758>The romance paths for the last act will beI better be able to make sure Yalietta gets her girl or this goes into the fucking trash. It's cute though (I didn't read the whole thing but skimmed bits). I dunno how well some of the very /u/ specific jokes will play for anyone outside of the board, but I found them entertaining. Ditto the various media references. Names are a bit wonky, but I feel like that's almost always a thing with English VNs. General quality seems perfectly fine for typical VN. Good job, anon.
>>3870646Sorry, Anon. Yalietta is a joke character who is destined to live up to her name once she's played her part in Blanche's story and be dumped on otherwise. There's an animal masquerade ball on Halloween and she gets the cuckoo mask. If it's any consolation, I plan a joke bad end for every good end and for Blanche its going to be Yaya going on an "if I can't have her no one can" double-murder-suicide rampage. Maybe if Naomi goes another route I'll think about allowing the Yaya to win for once. I'm glad you actually thought it was enjoyable enough to read. I know the writing is subpar but I hope to finish writing it all out once through then revise it to be actually good (or better at least). What's wonky about the names aside from being standard English manner of respectfulness in addresss instead of Japanese? It's set in the US. I do play with it a little bit to suit their characters and relationships. Like Yalietta, some are named for the joke. Prudence is a fucking purityfag, AKA a prude. Do you just not like my choice of names?
>>3870663>Yalietta is a joke characterYou're a joke character.>Do you just not like my choice of names? It's just a nitpick. Some are so out there that it feels a bit over the top. I brought up the English VN thing because it's something that you frequently see with those, or any English-native "japanese" media. Basically, using Japanese names tends to feel weeb-y, or is out of place (like here, where it's set in the US), but then really standard everyday western names (Jessica, Sarah, whatever) also feel out of place because people aren't used to having those in the context of 'anime' or related media. So then it becomes a weird balancing act of finding a name that isn't so everyday that it feels like it's being 4kids dubbed into the thing, or so extraordinary that it feels like it's dipping into fantasy setting territory. And in this case it felt a bit too much like the latter. I think if what you were shooting for was fancy, faux aristocratic and over embellished (in a reasonable way) you'd be better off using names that are old-fashioned, like Prudence rather than full on archaic or extremely uncommon in North America like Isolde, Elodie, Yalietta (there's other stuff that starts with Ya), or Veronica with a K (not sure if intended, but that's an almost entirely eastern European thing). But again, just nitpicking, you do you.
>>3870709Appreciate the perspective. Yeah, I don't want them to be plain and the names are by choice pretty damn fanciful and archaic (partially just because I like them). Yalietta I straight up made up so that it cleanly makes sense to be shortened to Yaya. It's a joke VN from start to finish even if each character's story drama when I get to them will be 100% serious (e.g. Naomi's whole thing about trying to escape real life by diving into a fantasy but finding that real relationships are better than fantasy, even if they are hard and you have to work at them). I'll be able to pull off the easy joke scenarios, but it's the actual good thematic stuff which I will have to work on and expand more eloquently once the basic plot bones are written.
You know, I'm sick of "being meguca is suffering" kind of stories. What if there was a Mahou Shoujo story that provides answers to the problems that Madoka and its clones raised awareness to? Is it possible to "Reconstruct" the genre? Asking because I might have somewhat of an idea:>meguca starts as what seems to be suffering at first>There is no Monster of the Week, all fights are between megucas (at first)>there is no animal mascot either, they all have to figure shit out for themselves>world spirals into pure chaos as it is borderline impossible to defeat or kill a meguca unless you are a meguca yourself>halfway through, after all the shit the MCs went through, MOTW actually start appearing (with enough foreshadowing that it doesn't seem like an asspull)>megucas are finally able to find a common ground as the MOTW are just as dangerous as the megucas but without the ability to reason, and the reason why they got their powers early is to be better prepared for when they DO arrive>MOTW all lead up to some eldritch abomination bent on eating the universe or some shit and they emerge victorious through the Power of LoveBecause it's a Mahou Shoujo story I'm pretty sure it goes without saying there will be lots of yuri in it
>>3874143That sounds like suffering though. If anything it should be like Machikado, the magical girls beat the actual threat and then just go through everyday life using their powers irresponsibly and for inconsequential things like flying instead of taking the train or changing clothes quickly.
>>3874195Battle Royale concepts aren't inherently about suffering. If that anon focuses more on the fights and the meguca's interpersonal relationships it could be a fun, over the top fighting story.
>>3874143The magical girl story I'm working on in my head's primary conflict comes from the magical girls being over organized and strict in their rules. To the point where they refuse to stop a terrorist organization from 9/11ing an entire city because they believe they shouldn't interfere with normal conflicts and should only fight evil spirits in secret. Then after several million people are dead and the ruins of the city become a breeding ground for monsters, all the girls who wanted to stop the terrorists lynch the leadership, reveal the existence of magical girls and reform their government into something better that will take a more active role in the world.
>>3874521Edgy
>>3874528We need more violent and edgy lesbians anyway.
>>3874143Having to constantly fight for your life will affect you no matter what. Probably in a way that would be seen as "suffering". Maybe you wouldn't feel that way, but you'd definitely have hard time fitting with normal life afterwards. You can ignore it for a fun adventure though, nobody stops you.
>>3874529Not sure there's much of a case for more violent and edgy magical girl shows being needed, though.>>3874536This is predicated on it being a constant fight for your life. In a large number of magical girl shows it's either not or it really shouldn't be. Ground forces in an army get significant PTSD rates, air and naval forces have a fraction of the occurrence, even in mortal combat, being traumatic is about the trauma of constant deadly threat to your being and having to watch people constantly die around you. PTSD rate is actually relatively low even for ground forces if it's regular non-ambushy/geurilla warfare. If you and your four friends sneak out at night to turn into superheroes who can get thrown through buildings and only get some scrapes and bruises and light cuts, and who can shoot branded magical attacks that one shot the enemy, there's nothing to be traumatized by. There's especially not much of a case for somehow struggling to fit into normal life afterwards. Soldiers struggle with that because their training and everyday occupation is extremely dehumanizing and they struggle to adjust to being put back into a world that doesn't operate in that dehumanized manner (the same reason prisoners struggle to adjust after release).
I've been going through various ideas of having a steamy teenage romance where one girl has terrible parents. One of the ideas is to make her a teen actress. How young can one realistically be to be employed on TV/Movie set in some capacity (Not being a child actor, just some part of the crew who would interact with them)?
>>3874664Would depend on the parents vocations. Realistically you could say her parents are apart of the studio staff and depending on the living situation might be brought to work because it's easier than finding a sitter/daycare
Back in August I shared the first part of a longer story I've been writing here and the feedback was to make it bigger. So I did and now it's 154 pages as the planned first installment of a longer series about childhood friends who reunite in adulthood and do BDSM. Where would be a good place to post it? Right now I just have it all on google docs and I don't know how to share from there.
>>3874712Click the share button, select "anyone with link can view", copy/paste link here.
>>3874715Thanks.https://docs.google.com/document/d/12g7Uz3g_nv0tcHHgwmgmjS-wBYaX-3kMmq1mSKGLvBs/edit#Plan is to put it on Wattpad or something and update it from there.
Oh but yeah as for the premise: Protagonist returns to her hometown and stumbles upon her old best friend who's still being controlled by her abusive father, so the protagonist resolves to get her out of there.Hope you like it.
>>3874667I suppose I could the other one be the kid of the staff. Realistically I can make them both actors, not every child actor has to have an insane stage mom.(Now I wonder if there's any Sarah LynnxJoelle Clarke fanfiction, gotta check them out)
>>3874667>>3875232>>3874664As someone who spent a fair amount of time backstage when young, and who went to a richy rich elementary school full of kids whose parents were in the industry, there's plenty of children and teens around when filming is happening. Children of directors, writers, actors, if the catering for lunch is a local family owned place, you might have those kids around for a bit every day. Probably won't have kids from really low end positions (like most extras probably aren't bringing their kids if the kids aren't also extras), but a lot of the more important staff and any decently main cast member can pretty easily get away with bringing their kids. Might be a bit more stringent if the filming is on a studio property/soundstage, but same hierarchy applies. And then you also have plenty of child actors, not just poorly adjusted child celebrities, but lots of regular kids with interest/parents in the industry as well. Keep in mind that anytime you have a school scene, or a parent with a kid walk across a background shot, or whatever, those are also teen/child extras who are hanging out on set before during and sometimes after those scenes (though there's fairly strict statures on how long they can be on set or working, depending on age brackets).
>>3875240Yeah, that makes sense.
I want to make a website called "Is This Yuri?" that has various series that are yuri, sub-text, in-between and have it for people who need it to determine what to watch or read next. But I could use some help, since I never made a website before. Would anyone would like to help?
>>3879790Bit late for that, imouto.https://yuripedia.fandom.com/wiki/Haruka_Takayama
>>3879790How interactive do you want it to be? Of its just static pages it can be done easily and free through Github Pages for example. Then you'd just need to get your domain names and point the A record to that page.
>>3879791I don't really want it to be of individual characters. You know how back in the day there would always be some kind of gag lesbian character? I want to catalog an entire series to briefly show tell watchers what they are heading into.>>3879792Something like this, maybe? I didn't have a good idea on the look of it yet but it was going to be simple. I'd want a search engine though, and maybe an image to pop up when you hover over spoilers or the series name. I also would need other sisters to help me out, because I haven't consumed every somewhat gay piece of media out there.
I'm writing a yuri book and it's going well if I say so myself. But a little devil on my shoulder has been acting up lately telling me>psst, this thing is going to make 5x more money if you do the gender flip>fujoshis buy m/m books like hot cakes>it would be easier to market because girls read more>have you seen the LGBT Books category on Amazon?>come to the dark sideCan't tell if I'm an opportunist, a coward, or an attention whore :')
>>3879822>this thing is going to make 5x more money if you do the gender flipGL and BL has different tropes and appeal, character archetypes etc., so it's a bit naive to think that a genderflip will always work (unless everything about the work is bland enough to match every taste). And in case you don't even like BL: while of course you can do that, a work that has the backing of your own raging libido is always going to turn out more attractive and will be more fun to make.
>>3879822If you're not writing for passion then why write?
>>3879822You're gonna end up one of those people that writes nothing but stuff they aren't actually interested in because that's their established niche.>>3879840Money, obviously.
usually don't respond to these threads but I've got something to talk about>write fanfic for ~7 years>become suddenly interested in a female-only original setting>worldbuild>begin writing and posting chapters online>realize I can just try to get it published instead>still release the chapters because they're a shitty first draft that I have ideas on how to improveim with>>3879840why write if you aren't personally invested in the project. I write fanfic in IPs I like, regardless if they're uber-popular or dead
>>3879854>become suddenly interested in a female-only original setting>worldbuild>begin writing and posting chapters onlineCan't say all this and then not post it, dork.
>>3879855https://www.scribblehub.com/series/653282/dutchess-of-the-end/
>>3879822All I can say is that lesbian books are a niche with a strong core audience who buy basically everything even if it's trash. I don't think the same is true for the opposite seeing as they have a larger pool for authors.
>>3853895>yuri card gamesWould that kind of game simulate a yuri romance or would that be a normal card battle game with yuri lore?
>>3879959probably the latter, though the former is totally possible. Sounds based either way, I'd contribute if a project existed
Comic commission I drew. Client's OC wrestling with Evil Rose from Rumble Roses
>>3879959>>3879963I actually did some early theory crafting on this a while back but never put in the effort to make significant process. It's much like Pokemon but (You) are Top Dyke at your Christian girls' boarding school and must assemble a girl posse to defeat the other girls posses through the power of love. You get X number of girls in your posse to start and there are three "types" plus a normal type. You do get to replenish your posse as the game goes on.The three "types" are Philia, Eros, and Agape.>Eros effective against Phillia>Phillia effective against Agape>Agape effective against Eros>Normal has no specific effectiveness. The most common posse cards are Normal types who are pretty average, like "senpai" and "kouhai" cards. Then you have more rare cards for each type, for example, Nun = Agape, Succubus = Eros, Student Council President = Philia.
>>3880448And some posse cards are dual types too. Pic related is an example of one of the dual type cards which I will use for illustration. Each posse card has a "type" which should be mostly self-explanatory from above. The attributes are what it takes to "defeat" the girl on the posse card and win her over with the the power of love.in this example, the Yuri Otaku, she's a manifestation of both Eros and Agape because she is both a lust-filled otaku and an appreciator of the purest form of love. But to defeat her, you have to win her over, and to do that you have to satisfy her lust (12 Eros) and satisfy her crippling desire for friendship (12 Philia). The moves are reflective of the capabilities of the posse card, not her types, and must be powered with a Love card of the correct type. Her barely surpressed lust takes away a large amount of Eros points from the target when unleashed. Her purityfag nature causes Agape damage, but requires being powered up by Philia love cards. There are also more rare "Angst and Drama" cards like "Transfer Student" which will transfer one of the posse cards between players, or "But We're Both Girls" which negates any Eros requirement, etc.
>>3880448>>3880450Thats a really interesting approach to turning romance and feelings into game mechanics, using also identifiable motifs from the yuri genre as names for cards themselves. Seems like instead of a physical battle its more of a battle of seduction.
part 1 based on one of the best game that has nothing to do with the story
>>3874712So yeah, it's up on Wattpad now. https://www.wattpad.com/story/333508782-kill-your-girlfriend%27s-dad-vol-1>Dragged back to her hometown by car trouble, wannabe domme and full-time disaster Alice Beckett learns that nothing has changed for her childhood friend, Rainy. In their youth Alice was unable to save Rainy from her abusive homelife, and Alice is determined to not let history repeat itself. Even if that means going through a very large man with a very large gun.>Fortunately, Alice has a baseball bat.I hope you'll give it a read. I incorporated a lot of the feedback I got back in August from the lit thread I posted it in. Dunno if I could post it there now since it's my own work.
>>3879869why would you create a women only setting just to center your narrative around bringing back "the race of myn".
>>3884341I did things the way I did them because it develops the history of the world a little more, explains the way things got to the way they are in what is- in my opinion- pretty fun. Sure, I could have totally just not had males in the story in any way at all and been fine, but doing it this way gives me more options for how I can worldbuild in the future, if that makes any sense at all
>>3880450This seems genuinely fun, I'd play the hell out of it. I'd even like to help you making it, but I have zero skills with anything.
>>3884999The story in my head that I will never write takes place in a yuritopia where men have been extinct for at least 2000 years and everyone is happy and just gets babies from the Stork.
>>3886860All that's required is:>finish writing out the cards, which a monkey could do>design the card aesthetics>images for each card (AI generation maybe?)And boom, you now have a horribly balanced card game. I might pick the idea up again sometime but I'm working on another project right now.
How does one go about turning a bright eyed optimistic isekai hero girl into a cynical bounty hunting bitch with severe abandonment issues in a way that's believable? All I've got is that she should keep falling in love with women that end up leaving her.
>>3887128>keep falling in love with women that end up leaving her.Don't think it really needs to be a "keep" thing. One major betrayal is probably enough to make someone jaded and then more shit going wrong will make them cynical. If they get isekai'd with someone else and get codependent with that person, just that person leaving, or selling them out, or whatever would be enough to fuck them up pretty bad I'd imagine.
>>3879963Been slowly working on two card game ideas, both single player.>One is a puzzle game that focuses on manipulating cards in the deck to assemble a win condition. It's about a sea witch seducing an innocent mermaid to sign a faustian bargain to claim her body and soul.>The other is a magical girl themed game where the familiar produces magic and their chosen magical girl powers up and fights monsters from an automatic obstacle deck. The yuri themes would be represented as abilities and cards like kisses, healing spells or characters as a couple using their powers together and protecting each other. Both would also have erotic content portrayed through art and fluff text.
>>3888336The second one sounds better than the first, and while I'm generally more interested in competitive card games (In the sense that you play against another player rather than the "tournament" sense) this still leaves a lot of room for self-expression through various facets of the game. A few ideas:>customizable deckshould be a no-brainer, and really it is in a "card game," but it's worth noting that you can build decks that focus on a certain character/relationship, build a harem, go for slut-mode rather than fostering romance with any of the characters>customizable difficultyI tend to really like the LCG model where you automatically have access to all the cards instead of having to spend a fortune on CCG singles, and this theoretical game can potentially include enemy cards of varying difficulty for either a walk in the park or crawling through hell and anything in between>the eternal problem of the resource systemFor something like this, I like the idea of having something inspired by Fluxx where you have a certain number of cards you can play in your turn, but that can be influenced by both you and the enemy deck. I'm also thinking you keep track of what turn it is/time spent/etc- stronger cards require it to be later in the game. Doesn't sound too hard to keep track of in single-player>co-opprobably "expansion pack" material, but there's room here for co-op gameplay.
>>3888539>Customizable deckThat's definitely a feature, the player can assemble decks from a collection of cards or follow premade lists.>Customizable difficultyThe idea was to have difficulty labels on the automatic deck cards that can be mixed and matched to create a curve or consistent level of challenge.>resource systemWas thinking of having the "1 resource produced per turn" mechanic to allow for a consistent curve and be able to cost cards accordingly to when it could be played. The player may also be able to ramp resources with some strategies.>Co-opStill needs time to plan, hopefully if the base idea runs smoothly then adding co-op cards or features like tag-duel or two-headed giant rules should be easy to do.Yuri themes for now would be focusing on the romantic bonding of two magical girl characters or the bond between their familiars. later on was thinking of a darker version of the idea with BDSM interactions where the familiars enslave their chosen magical girls or vice versa for more aggressive playstyles.
>>3888628>difficultyThat's a step further than what I had in mind, I like the idea though, very cool! My thought process on that was having the player "eyeball" what kind of difficulty she wants but marking them with a number sounds way better lol>resourcesso like, "first turn you get one resource, second turn you get two," etc? Pretty standard but does enable a lot of tried and true CCG stuff>yuri themesI do like the idea of different "kinds" of yuri be different kinds of cards. BDSM being the more aggressive, sacrificial kinds and the lighthearted ones being healing and whatnot.Did you have any concrete ideas for how the game is played yet, or are you still spitballing with theory and stuff?
>>3888638>Did you have any concrete ideas for how the game is played yet, or are you still spitballing with theory and stuff? The basics would be the player revealing the top card of the enemy deck and applying the effects from it, which would usually be something such as summoning monster tokens that must be defeated to reveal the next card. The player makes moves on their turn creating resources and powering up their magical girl with cards like accessories and spells, then battle the monster tokens.Defeating waves allows the player to reveal more cards from the enemy deck with surprises like bosses and phenomena that can help the player.Depleting the enemy deck or defeating a powerful end boss monster will result in victory, if the player's character takes excess damage then its a game loss.Trying to go for a "Mtg Voltron" style of gameplay where the player is constantly powering-up and transforming the magical girl character until she is a super-powered character that faces off big monsters near the endgame.Sorry if this is getting too crunch-focused.
>>3888709Yeah, I get you on that. Having stuff that can help the player in the enemy deck would be a small relief from the battles to come, I like that idea. >VoltronDefinitely a cool way to do it, giving your girl powerups that can be either activated or passive abilities, consumable item cards, and the like is a good way to go. If the yuri aspects of it are only in the story/flavor of the cards, do you see no point in having a team of magical girls under your control rather than just the one?
>>3888721I believe it would be a player choice issue to have more characters at once deciding to manage a whole team and spread resources across them or focus on one or two, similar to how more mana colors in a deck from mtg causes more inconsistency but more flexibility. For yuri themes represented there's a way of either representing two characters paired together on one card or as two separate cards.Been seeing how other games do that idea differently.

>>3898959Not writing about the military aspect tho.
>>3898960It's inescapable in that era, it was an extremely repressive and brutal police state which continued well into the transition to democracy in the late 80s. The materials you're looking for makes me think you're looking to write an anime style slice of life romance and I think ignoring the social climate of the time would piss off any Korean readers you might gain.A lesbian couple would realistically be living in fear of being reported to security services for subversive activities..
>>3898968I don't think Koreans would read it, it's in English. I think you're worrying too much. Don't worry anon, just relax while I work through archives and create a anime style slice of life romance during the repressive and brutality of that era.
>>3898968>>3899033I also have a really hard time imaging that 40-70 year old Koreans are going to read and then care about some random yuri romance thing not accurately depicting the brutality of an era. Seems more like shit Ericow would whine about.

>>3899033>>3899042you should look up the controversy surrounding the kdrama snowdrop if you want to see how koreans today react to historical denialism
>>3899510Second poster. I don't think this is a reasonable comparison. From the looks of it, Snowdrop was controversial specifically because it's a drama ABOUT the political climate (to the extent that it named characters close to historical figure names) and both whitewashed the authoritarian secret police organization into be well-meaning, and also made its pro-democracy MC into a north korean spy, one of the historical talking points the authoritarian regime to sabotage and take action against peaceful pro-democracy protestors. Of course people are gonna be upset. That's extremely different from just not addressing a horrendous political climate. It's the difference between an upbeat series about a rural, black homesteading family in late 1700s America that has them getting along with nearby white families and the nearest small towns, and doesn't get into/address the horrendous political climate regarding race or the threat of violence/kidnapping/whatever such a group would likely have to face in interactions; and a series about a slave family on a southern plantation, where their masters are depicted as kind and caring people who want to take care of them and local emancipators are depicted as greedy businessmen who just want the family freed so that they can sabotage the plantation and exploit the family for cheap labor. The first is unlikely to make too many waves beyond mild "that's not really realistic/historically accurate" , the second is a backlash shitstorm waiting to happen. People don't mind general idealization of eras vis omission of awful stuff that would have taken place, most series/IPs set in non-modern settings idealize their setting to be less awful. People get upset when a historical piece is SPECIFIC and wrong, like Snowdrop; when it has the message that a specific awful thing wasn't actually awful.

4/5 of the way through writing my VN now.Hopefully I'll have the first draft finished editing by May.
>>3907127How long is it?
>>3907146100k words so far which isn't including the fifth act which will probably be super long because the character endings are different. And then I'll be editing the whole thing and probably adding some significant additions to the first parts while I'm at it.I only posted about this just to bump the thread from falling off the board. I'll post the whole first version when I finish the editing.
>>3907150That's quite a lot. Congratulations.
>>3907150What are your over arching goals? Do you have art planned/artist onboard? shareware release or a purchasable title?
>>3907150I guess while we're asking questions, what's it about?
>>3908871>>3908875>What's it about?I posted about it at the start of this thread. The basic plot/setting is that an average American high school girl who also happens to be a yuri otaku transfers to a girls' boarding school because the pamphlet makes it sound just like a cliche yuri setting. But when she arrives she quickly finds out that it's intentionally that way and is being run by a secret cabal of yuri lovers planted within the faculty. As a fellow yuri otaku, MC gets inducted into the cabal. The plot/setting is mostly a vehicle for yuri in-jokes and references. It's mostly about the MC and her relationship to her two friends in her class and her three friends in the cabal. >over arching goalsFinish the writing, edit it into a first draft, release here for comments on how I can make it better, then do a second draft. >art/artist onboardLol no. I was going to ask her for any suggestions on artists that do yuri and take commissions when I finish writing but otherwise I'll use Fiverr. I want the art to be pretty enough even if it costs a little more, but that means being limited in scope. >shareware release or purchasable I was thinking about making it "free with an option to donate" (which I think is possible on itch.io) to try to offset art costs by however much people end up giving.
>>3908927>I was going to ask her for any suggestions on artistsMS paint, don't be a coward.
>>3909648To be clear that was supposed to be "here" but I missed an e.
>>3909738I understood. I still think you should just ms paint all the cgs and sprites.
>>3909740For the first draft? Sure. But I am definitely no artist.I just drew the (simple by design) MC in MSPaint for you right now. She hates the overly cute uniform (not just a skirt, but also bright pink!) but probably hates being drawn in MSPaint even more.
>>3909753what sort of artstyle do you want for it?
>>3909754Typical yuri style. It's hard to say really, but it should be eastern styled for sure (no tumblr).I like the soft and dreamy styling that most yuri uses.I'll go with whatever works out best financially and whatnot. But otherwise, just to gush, Morishima Akiko is one of my favorite mangaka.I also really like the watercolor style of Takako Shimura in the colored works of Aoi Hana. But I like less "conventional" style too. I really enjoyed the art in Seifuku no Vampiress Lord , for example. It's like hair porn.
>>3909753Not terrible. Honestly kind of charming.
>>3909757Are you the anon who drew those stick figure 4-komas on the oneeloli?
>>3910578No
>>3909753is there anywhere else you'll post updates of this on?
>>3911077Not until I have something more to show.
