What are the gayest/ best Precure seasons to roll into franchise?
>>4245070Kinda depends what variety of gay you want. Kira Kira has pretty much the closest the franchise has gotten to explicitly stated lesbians, whereas Maho Girls has more of the emotional feelgoods. In terms of the best overall, Heartcatch still holds up pretty damn well.
>>4245070Best Starting places: Fresh, Heartcatch, Star TwinkleGayest: Mahoutsukai/Witchy, Doki Doki, Kira Kira, and Star TwinkleMahoutsukai's a perfectly good starting place. You're here so I'm sure the sheer amount of yuri can help you overcome the flaws the season does have. If nothing else, the dynamic between the characters is 10/10. Doki Doki has significant hetero, but the sheer amount of yuri easily makes it easy to ignore; it's just kind of a bad starting place because it's very unorthodox and your overall opinion of the series will depend on how much you love the MC Mana (which I do a lot). Star Twinkle is both a very beginner friendly season and a season with a lot of yuri and no hetero, only reason to avoid having it as your first is if you have a weird vendetta against space.
>>4245086>>4245088Thank you.Among Heartache, Mahoutsukai and Star Twinkle which has the best writing and more focused on relationship of main couple?
>>4244866holy crap, this is awesome>>4244869cowardice
>>4245112>more focused on relationship of main couple?Mahoutsukai revolves around the main couple and when there are new cures on the team, they are basically their daughters (literally)You will also have to hurry up with that season, it already has a sequel announced and as an additional fact, they also make a cameo in the Kira Kira movie.
>>4245112Heartcatch has Tsubomi and Erika as the main duo. While there's some teasing, it's very platonic though their friendship is still well written and fun. There are a couple of other Cures people might pair up Tsubomi with, but I don't think HC places as much emphasis on the relationship Tsubomi has with them as she has with Erika. Between Maho and Star Twinkle, I would say Maho has a bit of an edge when it comes to the relationship of the main couple since Maho only has 2 Cures in the first half whereas ST starts with 4. Honestly though, both the relationship Mirai has with Liko in Mahou and Hikaru and Lala have in Star Twinkle are very well done to the point where their respective relationships are a huge focus of each respective season. It's just that Maho wins in that regard since ST juggles more characters around.
>>4245112>>4245115Ah, I forgot to mention writing quality overall. HC has the most down to Earth writing and does a great job at making its Cures and various side characters feel relatable, even if a good chunk of them are just one-off characters. It's a fan favorite for a reason. I personally don't like how much emphasis it puts on side characters and the villain writing can be a bit weak especially for the main boss, but that might just be a minor nitpick on my end because most fans absolutely love the season. Maho has strong development for its main cast of 4 with a variety of likable side characters. While its magic setting does have emphasis, the bulk of episodes still take place in the normal world which is a lot less interesting. A common criticism is that it doesn't use the magic world enough, though I think it uses it adequately. The villains generally aren't very interesting as characters, especially the ones that debut in the second half, but they are interesting thematically.Star Twinkle's main priority when it comes to the protagonists is developing 3 characters, the MC Hikaru, the 2nd Cure Lala, and the Cure that debuts in the middle of the season. The 3rd Cure Elena and the 4th Cure Madoka can feel underemphasized, though I think what episodes they do have is enough to flesh them out as characters. Oddly enough, Lala, despite being the 2nd Cure, is generally the Cure with the most outright emphasis. Hikaru does have a notable arc, but it's relatively subtle. The worldbuilding is great due to the sheer variety of planets explored, the villains and other side characters like the parents are very fleshed out as characters, and the overall plot is neat. One major criticism is that the show is kind of vague on how the theme of imagination is relevant in the beginning, though it explains itself better by the midpoint or so.
>>4245154>even if a good chunk of them are just one-off charactersJust wanted to give my two cents, but that's exactly why I hate HC and could never finish it, it's extremely formulaic and I got tired of pretending I care about the characters when the show just throws them away, I was surprised when they told me it was a fan favorite.Of the not-overtly-gay-ones I'd much rather watch GoPri.
Reverse lap pillow...
>>4245070I recently got back into the series after 10 years and of all that I have watched I like Hirogaru Sky and Tropical Rouge the most. Kira kira is okay story wise but I can't stand all of the characters except Yukari.
>>4245259I remember really disliking HC in my first viewing, though I was able to better appreciate what it is after a rewatch after like 10 years. Maybe I gained more empathy for the random side character victims of the week as I got older. I think I disliked maybe a third of them in my first viewing whereas only a handful felt annoying by my second go around. Heartcatch is definitely the one that demands you care about random side characters the most. Go Princess has a similar Victim of the week formula but the side characters it focuses on a lot are more closely related to the characters whereas a good number of VotW aren't focused on at all (It's a good starter season in general as well, but I didn't mention any seasons with a lot of hetero since this is /u/ and all). Hugtto is also kind of similar except it has a higher ratio of VotW that aren't relevant and are treated as such whereas in Star Twinkle, VotW is one possible scenario out of multiple instead of it happening weekly. I'd rather have a season like Doki Doki where almost all of the victims are treated like jokes than one like Heartcatch where the show tries get me to actually care about all of them.
>>4245283GoPri doesn't have a lot of hetero, I guess Haruka is railroaded into a het ship but it's neither that aggressive (she also gets some moments with Minami early on) nor present for 90% of the show
>>4245259>>I was surprised when they told me it was a fan favorite. The reason is because HC was a gateway season for many western newbies, at the same time Fresh and Suit are treated like garbage at the same time, even though all 3 are good series in their own right, Suit is better than the barbarians Westerners give it merit.I watched this series in the worst possible order, even though I started from the beginning, I still don't have a particular attachment to HC, my favorite season is Smile and my favorite couple is Miyuki x Yayoi.
>>4245283>>Hugtto is also kind of similar except it has a higher ratio of VotW that aren't relevant and are treated as such. The problem with that season is that the secondary male characters are more important than the main girls, who have the special ability to have little chemistry between them, the main trio is a bad joke, the other duo tries very hard and fails in the end .>>4245301>>GoPri doesn't have a lot of heterobecause the series does not have it, Haruka in reality only has admiration for Kanata and the boy at the same time is a useful character who even fights in the final battle alongside the French fairy, what everyone ignores is that at the beginning the series It is played as an Otome harem, in the end it is Minami with whom Haruka has all the romantic chemistry, that is played as something romantic and not just friendship. This series is a victim of the hetfags pretending very hard and a reminder that this was the season that saved precure from the shit that was hetcharge.
>>4245086>In terms of the best overall, Heartcatch still holds up pretty damn well.Since anon was asking about the gayest, it's a bit dishonest not to mention the shota in HC.
Kinda feel bad for Satoru at this point, it's just not gonna work out for him.
I might wanna give Precure a second try after 10 year break. Please spoonfeed me, how gay is the current season from 0 to 10? 0 means all girls are straight and wanna date a guy and 10 is outgaying a pride parade. Thanks for any helping advice.
>>42495046/10.Cats are the definition of "tell me you are gay without telling me you are gay".Dogs are problematic. There is a boy who is constantly present and blatantly in love with MC, but she is utterly clueless about that and more touchy with her dog.
>>4249383Yeah, he feels like he's going to be friendzoned by Iroha hard. I'm actually a bit suspicious about how they'll develop the Satoru/Mayu relationship, but I could just be paranoid.>>4249504I wouldn't risk getting invested in the current season as it has the writer of Yes 5 and Happiness Chargr. A couple of seasons I could consider 10/10 or close to it are Mahoutsukai and Kira Kira (with Mahoutsukai being better as a whole). Star Twinkle's about a 8-9 and uses its space theme pretty well; that's also a relatively easy recommend if you like space and yuri.

Just finished the original Pretty Cure show. Is it worth to continue into Max Heart? Are Nagisa and Honoka gayer there? Or at least less het?
>people start making Satoru x MayuIt's so over...
>>4258925simply ignore it?
>>4258924Max Heart largely spins its wheels and can feel repetitive. I would just look up episode summaries and see which episodes that interest you. For plot relevant episodes, there's 1-5 for the intro, 12-14 for the intro for Baldez, the most plot relevant general, 21-23 for the midseason climax, 28-31 for a plot relevant fairy, and 43-47 for the finale. I can generally at least recommend any Honoka episodes; maybe slap in the Hikari focus episodes if you like her from the intro and the lacrosse episodes if you like Nagisa. There's definitely more FujiP moments in this season, especially in the Christmas episode (though that's not one of the episodes I listed as a plot relevant one, so you can pretty much skip all of the FujiP focused ones IIRC). Overall, while Max Heart is a bad season, I do like Hikari and the finale is way better than the original. I can't hate it too much since the original epilogue of FW leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
>>4258990Nooo, that would imply being mature, I refuse to grow up!Now speaking seriously:>>4258925>Satoru x MayuI would ask if there are any real bases, but hetfags are always delusional idiots who pretend to be right, they can make art if they want, the problem is when they start to believe their own stupidity (HG being the most pathetic example)
>>4259066Thank you very much. I'll follow your advice but I might just end up watching the whole season anyway.
>>4259104>I might just end up watching the whole season anyway.Frankly, it's the best thing you can do, to get a better perspective of the series in general and watch the whole series, you can't trust everyone's opinions, Suit is treated like garbage for not being HC and the same idiots glorify Hetcharge at the same time (guess which one almost killed the franchise)

LoveSetsu is so good, I really regret not watching Fresh Precure until now, this Couping is actually so good. They're so cute together, my heart just can't...
Well, that was a wild episode of Precure!
>>4274580Yup. I wasn't expecting a love triangle between Zakuro, Mayu, and Yuki, but things are heating up!

It's a slog getting through first episodes of Wonderful because the guys are annoying, but I'll get to the promise land soon.
>[Sad News] Maho2 confirmed to have same studio (DEEN) and same director as Otona Precure
HERE WE GO!Oh my god, they are beautiful!https://x.com/precure_15th/status/1828960760019726835
>>4280583For the yuri, it is more important who the main writer is.We get the og main writer, Isao Murayama, back (for his recent outputs, he wrote many SoraMashi episodes if HSP and Asuka-Yuriko episodes were written by him) so MTP2 should still feel relatively same with MTP.And Kaisuke Naito also returns as producer, he has been a strong proponent for MiraiLiko, so I am confident it will be at least as yuri as the original.MTP wasn't known for its sakuga, so I don't have problem we get Studio DEEN.
>>4280585>Wedding Veils>Loving, Longing Stares at one another...>Pink DiamondYeah, it's so fucking happening.
>>4280597Yup, the wedding veils are definitely giving me hope. Making that design choice is very unhinged if nothing else.
>>4280661Yeah, for sure. The Mirai Gays are absolutely upon us.
>>4280597>>4280665Naive.And so am I.
>>4280585On one hand, not the original staff. On the other, the key visual is on point.
>>4281260The writer's the same
>>4281260Producer, writer, and music are the same people as the original series. The main differences are the director and character designer (the Otona ones). I haven't seen Otona but the main complaints are the 3DCG monsters (something I can tolerate) and various story decisions that could be blamed more on the writer than the director. The character designer also seems to be matching the original art style/designs. At most, maybe the new villains will look a bit off or something minor like that. I don't think it'll be a drastically different series from the original show, or at the very least, it's not going to be different in a way that ruin the characters or otherwise bothers fans.
>>4281492Yeah, Naito P would damn well make sure that nothing stupid would happen with the Mahos. At the very least, nothing is going to happen with their relationship status(es) that would piss fans off, but knowing him, he'll push the show to go as far into the Yuri as he can, if not all the way. Hell, the KV literally mirrors the Kamikitas' Illustration of Adult MiraRiko, to an extent.
