I think some people will find that out of their comfort zones and it'll land around a similar score. Some people will also not like the "mobile" graphics and be disappointed about that. But who knows, it seems to have more buzz or hype than the Link's Awakening so it might surpass my expectations.

83Like every zelda game before it will review almost universally positive.My impressions are mostly positive so far. Inventory management was nightmare in TOTK and they did absolutely nothing to improve or fix it.Either people will really like the summoning creatures aspect or combat or they will despise it. The people that hate will point to the inventory management aspect. How to fix it. Manual favorites not just most used. An example of one I want in the favorite bar but don't use often enough to be the most used tab is the spiders that pulls string from the ceiling. It is required for some puzzles and every time I need it I have fish through the menus to get it. There are sooooo many echoes you will be tempted to stop learning them because of how there are. There a needs to toggle on/off to filter out echoes I do not want showing up in the bar. There are echoes where both cost the same but one is exponentially better for certain niche use cases. when you get those echoes it will make certain ones completely obsolete. I will probably never use them again.

Though in my opinion, unless you go around fighting every single random enemy, you’ll gain new options at a good pace that can shake up how you do things.

I hated TOTK but I found Echoes quite acceptable for what it is, a smaller game without so much pretension.Yeah, as another anon said, the hard mode is pretty pointless, it destroys the flow of the game for a difficulty that doesn't require more skills or intelligence for the most part, it just requires more dumb management.The battles are basically pointless too, but the game forces you to battle at various times so you kind of have to engage with the system which doesn't work very well in combat, being more interesting for platforming and puzzles.If this were a 100% puzzle game, it could be something on the level of Talos Principle, by the way, because the mechanics are interesting and could be exploited to insane effect by good puzzle designers. I think they work well for exploration here too, the real problem is combat.
