Instead they rushed through the Empire shit and then killed Zodiark so early, then rushing through the end of the world. I would have made one Expansion on the Empire and then end up in the Moon by killing Zodiark. Then another expansion about the End of the World with the patch MSQ being the preamble to the end. It felt like they rushed the ending on purpose because the writer that also worked on Shadowbringers was being promoted or something.So in my perfect world I would have had the expansion after Shadowbringers be about the final War against Garlean Empire and killing going to the moon to stop Zodiark from being released. You beat him then shit start to hit the fan on the Source. The End of tbe World is coming back and then everything is answered.

Heck to can even go back to the First for more than a quick visit and have it so that what's going on in the source is having an effect in the Shards. But have the first expansion deal properly with Garlemand, kill Zodiark as the Expansion Boss, patch MSQ about traveling the world, then next patch End of the World shit. Honestly this would have been better financially for two reasons. One you milk the MSQ players for a couple more years. Two you have a better plan of what to do after the Hydaelyn and Zodiark Saga was over.
