I don’t replay games. Those big highs and moments only come once and everything afterwards is a desperate effort to recapture it. Using singular games as emotional breakpoints and revisiting them at points throughout your life is just weird to me. They’re no surprises and no wonder
>>725628570I don’t replay games cus what's the point. You know story, you know mechanics and everything.
>>725628570Star ocean 3Suikoden 2Breath of fire 3/4
>>725629119I barely play new games, sure sometimes something interests me, but most of the time it turns out to be just disappointing. I find that gameplay focused games are kinda like music, the more you play, the more you appreciate them, you can't beat dmc3 once and claim you understand the game thoroughly.
>Dead Space 1 and 2>Resident Evil 4>God of War 1, 2 and 3>the GBA Fire Emblems>Metal Gear Rising
>>725628570I took a break from OoT at the sand temple and can’t be bothered to go back to it
>>725629119you probably play shitty games if replaying them after 10 to 20 years doesn't feel novel at least in partyou should have grown enough such that you're a very different person with very different perspectives, to the point that you aren't just experiencing everything from a completely different viewpoint when replaying a game, but you're also re-examining your memories of a game with new context too

>>725628570>Link's Awakening >Earthbound >Super Metroid>Xenoblade series
>>725628570I rewatch movies and tv series somewhat, and I reread some booksbut I can't think of any games that I bother to replay aside from forever-games that are designed to be played over and over. Most games, even games that I managed to enjoy the first time around, don't really have the depth that make replaying them feel that compelling, I thinkmaybe if spyro 1 or the first few ratchet games were on steam I'd have played them a few more times. But I'm not digging out an old console or booting up an emu for them

>>725628570>Final Fantasy Tacticsshould i pirate the nu remake or just emulate the ps1 version? it says the translation is ((((upfated)))) so i'm wary

>>725629048I might actually add Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Elden Ring and BotW/TotK, loved playing them despite their flaws, remains to be seen if I'll want keep replaying them a few years from now.
