>social network aspect despite iiSU being free (the only payment option is a $4.99 premium version) so they have to mostly eat the costs
>iiChannel for presenting news by entities like IGN or others
i don't trust iiSU, i don't know why but something about this project seems strange to me. it's either too ambitious for its own good and the costs of keeping its social network up will kill it, or it's made to be eventually sold to a bigger company or make money off telemetry + ads.

yep, this one's going in my cringe compilation

What the fuck is iisu anyway?

Sounds neat. Checked the trailer and quickly looked at the presentation. Though I agree with OP seems too good to be true
>>
Why is it so tendie centered? Almost only tendie games and the ui have the forced soul of the wii u/3ds

You may not be aware of this but most dedicated emulation handhelds run android.

>Single payment of 5bux for theme support.
to be expected... meh.

>Main screen aping the 3ds features and customization vibe.
Thats something completely feasible and actually pretty nice.

>RA integration.
nothing new or special, all frontends (Daiji, CL) have it.

>Social media overlays.
that one i dont think it can be done due to how all emulators are different, but if it can be done, they should also add an option to add overlay bezels in any emulator, not just Retroarch.

>Eshop with its own economy.
no... just no... this project is ded.

>DS version for Dual screen handhelds separate from the main version.
why?

personally... i really doubt this will be released. good to know theres a team and there are alpha builds and all, but still i dont trust this.

theres this one too. like iiSU you need to do a single payment for all features, but unlike iiSU, this thing actually exists and works.

Honestly love the aesthetics for this. The fact that they seem to be prioritizing Bluesky over Twitter as the primary social media of choice is a bit of a red flag but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
>>726837916
iirc they said it'll come eventually. Android is the main priority for now.

>prioritizing Bluesky over Twitter as the primary social media of choice is a bit of a red flag
Well its either Bluesky or the website whee you scroll to see dumb hot takes, swastikas made of dicks and porn. So yeah. Of course Bluesky probably has its own share of issues.
>>
>>726842790
Bluesky is a leftist hellhole. You will be cancelled there if you dare to wrongthink.
Honestly Twitter isn't much better but at least Elon's attempting to salvage as much of that dumpster fire as he can.

To the retards here fighting, "twitter" as a website is objectively dogshit as a format, and for the price of a single sale of premium the guys running this could pay Hatena for hosting for about 5000 users on a miiverse clone.
>>
>>726843461
And that's Twitter in quotes to cover both the actual twitter and any clones of it.
>>
>>726843059
I watched a bunch of people who claimed they would stay on bluesky come back to twitter because bluesky was too boring.
>>
This is either never coming out or someone in the team is getting outed as a sexpest or something similar.
>>
>>726845050
Definitely leaning towards the latter, all the transbians that are working on this is a major red flag
>>
I like the concept but I doubt anyone will be using iiSU or the social media crap

>The UI itself
Like a mashup between the PSP and 3DS, I like it
>"RetroAchievements are at the forefront"
I haven't forgot their sperging about Pokemon Clover, I guess they won't allow content for that game on iiSU
>Pretendo support
I've long since opted out of it, my games weren't supported or they had no activity, not worth it.
>Miiverse 2.0
It's cool, but it'll never replace miiverse considering there aren't gonna be any kids playing this and the moderation isn't gonna be as lax.
>You need points to purchase community content
Please don't be tied to RA
>"Android is the primary focus"
Man... One of my friends only uses his steam deck for emulation, he would've liked this.
Despite my criticisim I like it, but I'm sure this is gonna fail because of gay devs doing gay things.
>>
I only use my phone to emulate turn-based games like Pokémon, they should port it to Linux to get the steam deck users at least.
I would use it on my Windows PC if it works properly, Retroarch sucks dick as a frontend.

warioware twisted works so well on mobile it might as well have been released for it. I just make the A button invisible and take up the whole right side of the screen

I mean this sincerely: iiSU is just not for you. You just want a slick launcher for your games, and that's fine, but you're comparing against just one facet of iiSU's featureset.

>I mean this sincerely: iiSU is just not for you. You just want a slick launcher for your games, and that's fine, but you're comparing against just one facet of iiSU's featureset.

probably.

really CL and Daiji are good enough for what a android launcher/home replacement should do.

theres this whole social overlay feature they are promising. if they can add something like custom bezels for emulators outside RA, then it might be worth it is there even a way to do that? like add the bezel when a game is running or something?
>>
>>726842578
Bluesky is far better than Twitter, thoughst'verbeit. It's functionality superior, and there's no point in complaining about the average userbase when your options are split between rabid shitlibs on one and a bunch of hyperborea faggots getting baited by indians to turn against their countrymen on the other.

If anything, complaining about the userbase actually nets things for Bluesky, because the way it's set up means that you can do shit like set up good ol' fashioned RSS feeds to just get the info you want straight from the developer without having to see fat onlyfans sluts shout trans rights in the comments. That doesn't exist the same way on Twitter and trying to avoid its culture war retards.

Hey guys, pretendo and that spotpass/streetpass thing might have turned out to be a way for TTTT community pedophiles to find poor children in their area but you don't know it could TOTALLY be different this time.
>>
I really like how it looks, hopefully there's a Windows version some day.
