enemies will no longer act predictable and will have immense bloated health pools to compensate for 2 "helpers" even though they will be dead on the floor 99% of the time.

if you like elden ring gameplay this is more of that but without the hundreds of hours of horse riding, and characters with abilities/specializations

Everything the other anons said was true. Ymmv. Personally? I love the speedrun/routing/rougelike aspect to it. It isnt very random at the top meta but when you start game feels huge. Worth it on sale.

randoms are never good, ever. if i didnt know any better, most of them seem like they're remote playing on a fucking phone. if i die even a single time in a boss, it almost invariably ends then and there, both teammates at 3 bars before i've gotten killed once.

Oh and Ironeye is the best archer build fromsoft has ever done and it should just be this way moving forward

Pros: Can use knives, can use spells. Fun spellblade.
Cons: Her combo chaining sucks ass because you can only do it after a single dodge and few enemies will let you do just one dodge. Also her 1H knife chain finisher takes forever and her powerstanced knife moveset is slow.

Pros: Hesitation is defeat. Beast is a full heal and continuous healing.
Cons: Suncatcher doesn't inherit the attributes of what you were holding before it. Also it takes sixty billion epochs to use Beast's finisher and get out of it.

>Guardian
Pros: Guard counters are fun. Has good crowd control.
Cons: Weak attacking stats, his unique guard shouldn't need to be triggered at all, chews through stamina and then eats dirt when guard is inevitably broken.

Pros: Holy fuck bows are good in a Fromsoft game. Art is absurdly good.
Cons: Not many. Maybe he's too good, and thus attracts low-skill idiots?

Pros: Punching is fun. Big dick Str damage.
Cons: His Art is annoying to deal with, and tanking damage to build up his punch stops being viable later on. Also his 1H moveset sucks, you NEED to powerstance with him.

Pros: Booba. Her magic cocktails are fun. Has infinite FP, and her Art can let you do the meme endless Comet Azur attack and can provide emergency healing.
Cons: Her magic cocktails take forever to cast and can be unwieldy if you're trying to get a certain element and your teammates keep fucking it up. Also you need to cast a cocktail to keep drawing magic to restore FP.

Pros: Can manage aggro, has reliable healing, great at reviving, memes are funny and supported by Fromsoft. Good caster.
Cons: Is entirely reliant on RNG to get good seals, family sucks in harder fights, relies on starlight shards for FP restoration.

Pros: What isn't a pro? Everything he's got is great.
Cons: His powerstance moveset is slow? Hard to find any pros, Wylder is great.

It's a hard mode that inflates the stats of enemies more and more as you progress. similar to ng+. You get +3 new relic slots exclusive to the game mode so it opens up a lot of build making opportunities. If you aren't autistic just stay in depths 2 to maximize your fun.

It's the even-more-roguelite version of the game. You don't get to pick your target, it's decided for you and can even be unknown until you enter the boss arena. They can also be Everdarks. You can't set Shifting Earth biome events, they're sparing and random. But in return you get three more relic slots for Deep Relics you get there, and some enemies are red-tinted elites that drop a random weapon when killed. Elite bosses drop red prize orbs instead, which can award red weapons that have unique effects, but also come with debuffs.

If you win matches you go deeper, from depth 1 to depth 5. In depth 5 enemies all oneshot you and the meta is stacking damage res up relics instead of offense relics so you can just survive.
