Playing it online, even though I don't think it's strong currently, Rough Play is very interesting and I do see the vision behind its existence. The main difficulty is lack of shot power compared to some of the other builds, you're much more reliant on long shot chains to score and your defense is kind of ass too. The best part of the build is that you get Hyper meter easier than the other builds. You can get a big meter gain off a tackle, and focus battles become less of a problem because you have a ton of tension while the enemy has none, building hyper meter in the process. But it also feels nerfed online when defending because by the time you select a defensive move, the opponent already pressed L1 or R1 and passe you.
