I may be slightly underlevelled and probably not using the best gear but enemies are really starting to do way too much damage; just look at my pic, that's after 2 actions from the enemy. I found the front/backline split interesting but if it means that the enemies can just do massive damage because your backline swaps in, that's not all that interesting. I'd really rather not have to juggle getting 2-shot. It's probably me being stubborn and pushing 1 storyline but man, everything is starting to hit like a truck. I kinda like the 8 party member system and I've found out 20 turns is a long ass time. My crew has been hopped up on that sweet sweet 25% xp boost from grape juice as soon as I unlocked it. Anyway here's my current progress. Haven't started on the main quests to deal with any of the 3 villains yet just doing village stuff which has kinda led me to 2nd and 3rd level towns. I should probably buy better gear but for now my crew is able to punch out enemies in 2nd town level zones/side-zones(about 5-10 levels ahead of me). Also still need to figure out which job to unlock next

You very quickly start running into 20+ shield points. Weakness matching is not that big of a deal because everyone's got 2 weapons and you can exchange skills between characters to shore up elemental capabilities.

I've always hated how expensive skills cost at the start since they are balanced around becoming cheap eventually when you level up enough. It basically makes SP Saver mandatory most of the time. The backline regenerating helps a little bit.

Just finished the master of power questline and two things irked me about it but otherwise it was fine. First off jesus christ why was the questline the goddamn retard olympics, why the hell did jurgen live THAT long and why was lover boy dumb enough to get into sword slashing range . Secondly for a revenge story for me and my village against the guy that killed dad that shit got acknowledged for at best 5 minutes near the end. I get that he didn't know of us sure but we really played second fiddle to the avoidably tragic love story. I think my instinct might have been right to just focus on the rebuilding quests because these villain paths seem like they're not about me at all

I also finally got the shop in Wishvale unlocked after going back and fucking those lizard men in their mouths, all while being 9 levels below the zone. The shop is so fucking good because it contains everything from every town you've gotten those scrolls from random NPCs from, so I don't have to remember where I saw something at when I finally spend some Leaves.
