Why hasn't ATLA gotten its KOTOR equivalent yet? The series has been raped to death creatively on television, books and comics but games its untapped potential. All that exists is factory shoveled licensed nonsense. Are modern developers just not interested in a game set thousands of years before the main series with none of the baggage or just too incompetent?

>>727632747I dont think we know specifically which if any TFH devs are working on it, TFH had a messy death and most of the employees got fired by Maximum Entertainment before they canned the game, then a couple people from the Diesel Legacy team ended up in charge of it but did very little, understandably since they had no budget or time, then The Gameplay Group bought the rights along with Diesel Legacy and hired most of the team from that game but aside from maybe a couple of engine devs that didn't get canned originally I don't think we've heard if any of the TFH devs got hired back alongside. The game was pretty great at least in like, it's fundamental design. It feels great to play, the characters are cool and unique and really varied with a good blend of simple and complex stuff and the one chapter of story mode they finished was legit the best in the entire genre. The last couple updates and the DLC characters were pretty rough, they were struggling to keep up with development and were losing some of the solid direction they had earlier in dev, and it is obviously massively unfinished, I couldn't call it "good" in its current state without an asterisk, but at least some of the people involved were clearly very good at what they did. It had rollback and console ports with crossplay as a shoestring budget indie game before most of the AAA devs could manage it.
