I upgraded my PC, yet I still spend 90% of my gaming time on my launch model Steam Deck.It's the sheer convenience of pick up and play for me - I can just turn on my Steam Deck and play my Steam library as I please. It's pretty cool.

X86 Windows emulation on Android is approaching where it was on Linux around the time Deck first shipped. I came to realize, there's two classes of PC games without a lot of overlap, the ones that are great for portable play and Deck is actually overpowered for them, and the ones that aren't so great for portable play and Deck isn't nearly powerful enough or doesn't have good enough hardware, mainly screen resolution being the problem.Thor is like 75% as fast as Deck factoring in emulation, so it should cover all the portable-friendly games, while my new laptop will handle everything more demanding. My monster desktop is reserved for work, AI, and VR.
I mean a laptop more or less does the same thing. you open the lid and start playing. you can also take it anywhere.
