Its been a bit, has anyone else checked out the full release of Total Chaos. How is it compared to the original mod
I doubt most of nu-/v/ even knows what this game is.
Never played the mod.Finished the game a few days ago. It's alright. I think mechanically it's a bit unnecessarily bloated, and it just feels far too action-y as a game. No enemies felt truly threatening at all. You have so much tools at your disposal to kill everything in sight, but it feels like it's missing something. It reminds me most of evil within 1 in the art directing which i like. It's strange. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. Im going to do a survivalist playthrough. The story intruiged me but lots of things i couldn't make sense of, and the big reveal of whats wrong with the protag at the end kinda took me out.
Never finished the original mod and dropped the remake in the police station even though it was decent.I just can't enjoy anti-hoarding mechanics, I can't fathom why I keep trying to.Also, this may sound even more retarded, but I wanted a straight-faced haunted island, the allegory for depression stuff kills whatever leftover enjoyment I might have had.
Also, i saw in the credits underthemayo is credited as "gameplay consultant"I really, really dislike that guy's taste in vidya and what makes games fun and it made a lot of my issues with the gameplay make more sense.
I had no idea the remake released. I'll check it out, thanks anon

>>727639638i played the tc a little bit, ultimately it being on the gzdoom engine is what turned me off. ive played the remake a lot more and somehow the gzdoom version was way spookier
