i know its nice to have a powerful gaming pc, but how important are nice peripherals such as monitor, mice, keyboard to you for gaming?

monitor capable of 60 fps is enough. make sure it's at the 60 fps setting when you get it.
a nice keyboard is cool to have as well. at least get a mechanical one so it feels nice to use.
mouse? not as important imo but i don't play many fps games.

GPU > Headphones > Monitor > Mouse > Keyboard
This is even more true if you do any (((competitive))) gaming as your reaction time to audio is significantly faster than video. A good pair of open-back over-ear headphones is critical for enjoyment and immersion. An OLED with games in HDR (or RTX HDR if they don't natively support it) is sheer bliss that cannot be quantified. A nice mouse and keyboard are good to have, but buy once and cry once. Either stick with what you have or get something nice, don't buy garbage.

I've literally used the same screen, KB and mouse since 2009. Headphones I've had to swap multiple times because plastic toys literally snap sooner rather than later, but I do have literal stereos attached to my PC so I can blast some loud, nice sounding audio without headphones if I need to.

i have the best gaming peripherals money can buy sans the headset since i don't really give a shit about minmaxing that as i don't play compslop
my 1440p 500hz oled? shit starts looking worse past 250 as you see so many pictures that the motion blur comes back
i'm using it at 250hz bfi mode since it doesn't have that blur while looking better than 500hz

mouse? i'm using a keychron m5, the best sensor you can get in a comfortable vertical shell and i'd say it was worth it but mostly due to the form factor, i ran it at 30k dpi 8k poll rate and shit was indistinguishable from 1200 dpi 2k poll rate, no one is that precise

keyboard? monsgeek fun60 tmr, great too though i'm not considering it fully endgame until tmr is available in a dactyl form factor, mostly bought it for the durability, same as above, you're not seeing those meme settings have a real life effect ever

LMFAO, great shitpost. The entire thing is just the perfect emulation of someone with down syndrome.

off yourself
it legitimately gets worse, the background starts getting blurry

>controlling brightness with the OS on an OLED
Oh shit nigger what are you doing
>X11
Hope you're using Plasma/KDE and Wayland at least, otherwise that OLED is 100% wasted since that's the only setup that can do HDR.
>>
>>727646084
do you have a point you're trying to convey or did you just feel the need to indiscriminately seethe at someone
>>
>>727646161
Ignoring the fact that the Keychron M5 isn't the best mouse that money can buy even if it has one of the best sensors you can buy and Monsgeek is cheap chinese junk because those are inconsequential to the larger issue: your opinions on OLEDs and how display tech works. There is no scenario where what you state is true regarding refresh rate and framerate. Unless you just have some psychotically bad build of Linux.

theyre nice but nowhere near essential if youre poor. a $3500 custom triple prelubed keyboard with cupholder isnt going to stop zoomers from breaking your kneecaps.
most of the shit i bought outside my speakers i bought just cause i had the spare cash for the fuck of it

only thing I missed about CRTs after upgrading to LCD were the deep blacks but all the other trash issues inherent to the technology didn't make up for it

>monitor
Important. But I can live with either a good IPS or an OLED.
>keyboard
Not very important. But I do appreciate nice mechanical switches.
>mouse
Very important. I need a WIDE fucking mouse.

you can't control it manually through the monitor with bfi enabled
kde/wayland, it literally specifies x11 is legacy right there

>>727646317
do you even HAVE a comparable oled or are you just flinging shit at me with no fucking experience?
this is literally what happens, there are so many pictures that the background actually becomes blurrier
and yes, they're only 0.2ms slower at the fucking worst you moron
don't talk about shit you don't fucking understand
