Littlebigplanet 4 can still happen. This year, for sure.

Eh LBP's time has come and gone. I would love it as a PS6 launch title though. I kinda want them to do something dreams as well.

They need to remaster and re-release them all.

>another sumo digital lbp
no thanks, and MM has been hit with massive layoffs hasn't it? iirc the founder even left and is now working at an actual software company

I spent so many hours playing LBP2 on my ps3 with my sister. We completed the game together, dicked around in level builder together, played tons of online levels together. Its been years since Ive talked with her.

the ost for LBP1 makes me wanna cry, I wish I knew how good I had it and appreciated it more.

This was one of those games I made a lot of online friends through when I was younger. I remember really liking the dlcs and them being really cheap. The MGS and water dlcs were really fun.

Lbp.....home

I dont want 4
I want them to go back to 2, patch it up to play on pc and maybe make more level packs and content
3 was absolute trash and should be memory holed like the trash fire it is,
>>

I need to look up some of lbp3. I don't remember much about it but I know at the time I hated what I saw and never bought it.
>>
>>727659508
i didn't play it either. i thought the extra layers were cool but the new playable characters looked really unnecessary from what i remember
>>
>>727659508
buggy, glitchy mess of a game that constantly crashed at launch and was blatantly unfinished.
the extra layers idea was cool but there was a reason media molecule finalized it with 3 when they had more early in dev

LBP1 was a once-in-a-lifetime thing. It can't happen again.
But! You can play it now online using RPCS3 and LBP Union.

Agreed.
I think most PS3 bros are in the same boat as us.
>>
Did you guys spend any time making levels? I put a lot of time in a neon light level. It was pretty much just a collage of different puzzles or gameplay ideas I saw from better levels.
>>
>>727651936
Why did they make that terrible sack boy game? Nobody asked for that.
And it's the only thing they ported to PC.
Fuck you Sony
>>
>>727660450
hell yeah i did, never published shit but it was fun as fuck making platforming setpieces
>>727660492
engine for lbp3 is so fucked it was easier to just make unreal slop
>>
>>727660450
I tried but it was pretty hard and time-consuming. I deferred to just playing other people's levels. LBP was like an infinity game to me.
>>
>>727651936
I'm playing this after 10+ years using rpcs3.
I don't have a controller sadly and this game absolutely kills my fingers during certain parts when you have to keep shoot with the robot bee and the camel.

Sorry, it won't work these days - the thing that made LBP huge on PS3 was free online. Like, the entire point of the game was to make levels, share them with others and then play levels made by others with your friends. It worked because everyone who bought the game had access to online features, but with paid PSN I guarantee you it'll cut off at least half of potential playerbase.
And honestly the series reached its peak with LBP2 - MM dropped the series to make its spiritual successor (Dreams) while the the studio who made LBP3 just went for one of infamous sequelitis tropes - sidekick characters. You could tell devs ran out of ideas of what to add, so more layers + sidekicks + some QoL features were the best they could come up with.

I still remember being absolutely blown away by LBP2's trailer and how new and amazing everything looked. I even got the special edition that came with a sackboy plush and bookends. I miss it so much.

>game starts off by showing off the dev team
>Everybody was white
lmao they would never let that slide nowadays

>bunch of levels I made I forgot about
>one of them was just a museum with pics of my friends and i showing off costumes and screenshots from us playing
I wasn't ready to see that. Why did you do this to me?
>>
>>727660450
Lots of time into levels I never finished.
