Well?
Nobody needs 64gb of ram, get real.
PCsisters aren't gonna like this one
I got 64gb of ddr5 6000 ram like a week before the price hike startedI am so relieved

There is always an option.
>>727656627Buckle up, because there won't be a PS6 until 2030, and games will stagnate even more because you need gaming PCs to develop games.
>>727655381We're already starting to see other products like smartphones increase in price. Consoles will be next.
>>727655267I too have 64 GB of DDR5 RAMI'm in video editing, you need that much

Tsk tsk, Anya knows how to get more RAM for free
>>727658479Anya will share this with you
>>727656627unironically, no one needs DDR5 for gaming
i just bought 32 gigs of ddr4 3600cl16

For the first time in my life, my PC has appreciated in value.

>>727655336I do when drawing, Krita is a huge whore for Ram. I lucked out and upgraded from 64 to 96 back in june, because the 64 kit was slow.

>bought a 32gb ddr5 last year
At my work last year they upgraded their server and I found the old one in the trash. It has like 10 16 gb ram sticks on it. Its RDIMM though and not compatible for desktops. Should I sell it now? Do people on craiglist even buy server ram?
>>727665526It's shit, but at least for drawing it's dead easy to use for my retard brain and it's FREE. I only get brush lag with big fat 500 pixel+ brushes.
>>727655449>>727656356>>727655381>>727664167And people said PC peasants were smart. You're a bunch of fucking imbeciles.Company making contracts for tens to hundreds of millions of parts directly from makers will get much better deal than some fucking smelly fat neckbeard buying a pair of sticks for his 133337 RIG from 7th shitter in long chain of middlemen.>it will affect everything that uses ramYes you fucking imbecile but you'll pay 5-8 times the original price while I will pay twice as much because of reasons mentioned earlier. The difference isn't subtle you retard.
Retard here. How do i know what i can stick into my pc and shit just works?Like if i get a new gpu how can i be sur itll fit and wont fuck anything else up?
>>727665979It all depends on your motherboardwhat you got bitch?
>>727665873Why the fuck would a RAM company do a contract with sony, when they can sell the chips to sam altman for twice the price?
>>727665979The products have a thing called specs. Gpu dimensions can be found by googling. Buy a ruler.Go to your processors manufacturer product page to see what RAM you can 100% surely install onto your machine.
Why do trannies hate AI so much?
>>727665979Measurements. Open up the side of your case and see what you're working with. You could find out what your case is and then use a program to find out what motherboard you have, then put those with new parts into pcpartpicker to see any incompatibilities. The site isn't very reliable for space issues but it's at least good for telling you your parts wouldn't run if you're trying to mix and match super old shit and new shit. But really you could just measure the inside of your case physically and see how big your new parts would be in their listings.
I have 32GB DDR4 and 8GB VRAM and the only game I can even somewhat imagine having concern about any of this for is Pragmata, but it would take a real effort to make it run worse than Wilds and DD2 anyways and I'm kind of expecting it will also be shit. The range of games that aren't being released on PS4 or Switch 2 (and also wouldn't run like shit even on high end hardware) that are even worth looking at remains quite small.
>>727666270alphabet people are usually artists or in some other creative profession as their only job / skill. they can't follow their passion anymore.
>>727665979>how can i be sur itll fit Just take a tape measure and measure from the back inside of your case to the front? Then check the width of the GPU on techpowerup.

>>727655267The RAM kit I bought for my new build in June is now 3x the cost it was. Glad I upgraded and didnt wait because it seems GPUs might get fucked over again after they just simmered down a bit in price since Nvidia announced they are not going to be supplying the memory anymore for cards. So the board manufacturers will pass the cost onto us.
i have 64gb ddr4 . Is there anything cool i can do with it? it just sits there unused.

It'll become cheaper when DDR6 comes out.
>>727677734Idk about reselling but if you want to buy RAM, you genuinely should buy now because the AI bubble won't be popping anytime soon unless the USA literally collapses. AI is the entirety of the US' GDP growth at this point, stop investing into it and line will stop going up completely. There's a reason OpenAI has a billion dollar deficit and is nonetheless getting bail out after bail out and new reactors are being built literally JUST to power datacenters, and those reactors won't even be online until 2030.
