I suddenly and randomly got into the mood to play a game where you pilot giant robots, and I specifically want it to have autism-grade military porn in it. What game should I be playing?I remember I got this on the switch but didn't get around to playing this. Is this good for what I want, or is there something else out there?
There's no reason to play anything but Armored Core. Anything else is simply an inferior experience.

There's some real autistic shit on PC that's text based but fan mods for the Battletech strategy game might also scratch the itch of deciding on builds and parts. If you aren't already ruling out anime games with airplane physic jetpacks and energy swords like DXM it's hard to know what exactly you're looking for or where your lines for "autism grade military porn" begins and ends though.
>>727658827>where your lines for "autism grade military porn" begins and ends though.I'm not quite sure myself since I've never tested the limits of this. I like Starship Troopers, Band of Brothers, and Heavy Object though.
Ring of Red might be up your alley.
>>727659668>Ring of RedThis looks incredibly SOVLful, but looks less about piloting and more about turn-based tactics.
>>727659668You tried anon. I almost recommended robot warlords to this fucking PLEB

If you want some unique alternatives that blend the mecha genre with something else:>Doll's Nest>Break Arts 2 or 3Doll's Nest is if you combined Dark Souls 1 with older Armored Core entriesBreak Arts is if you took Armored Core 4 and added racing elements.

Has there ever been anything that's gotten even close to Steel Battalion?
>>727657457>I specifically want it to have autism-grade military porn in itDoesn't exist. The closest you can get is probably Armored Core with its dark, dystopian cyberpunk settings. Alternatively, the Mechwarrior games have some very militaristic sci fi, although it goes more into the fantastical to present sick ass robot battles over harsh realism. Mechwarrior 5 has some pretty cool mods.Or if you're good with something older, the Heavy Gear games should be pretty decent fits, with far more realistic mechs reminiscent of VOTOMS.
>>727657457I've been playing daemon x machina recently. Get the PC version. Runs amazing even on super weak hardware. It's a bit simple and the story is a bit chaotic but it's fun.
Play Mecha Break. The mecha were designed by some legendary creators, and the game is crazy fast and fun for a PvP game. I got the mecha bug real bad recently as well and it’s scratching the itch. Plus the game is dying and we need more players :’)
>>727657457armored core 4 has you adding stabilizers on your mech to shift their center of gravity
>>727660695It will never happen again. It would cost as much as buying a vr headset.
