Why people stuck with Unity?

Explain yourself

Despite the company being really bad, it still is very useful with loads of add-on, programmers loves it too
a splinter branch of it would be a god send

Learning curve is less steep and the UI is more user friendly than other engines

Because inertia is a hell of a drug. A lot of indie devs built their entire workflow around Unity over the years. Tons of tutorials, asset store content, plugins-it’s all there. People already know how to make a game from scratch with it, so switching to Unreal or Godot feels like starting over. Even with the recent drama, until something better has the same ecosystem and support, Unity's still the path of least resistance for many.

What recent drama?

All version of unity between 2017 and now have a exploit that allow remote access control by just launching the exe of that build.
