why do new gaymer electronics tend to be so fragile and hard to repair?

>fragile
Breaks easily so you have to buy a new one.
>hard to repair
Can't fix it so you have to buy a new one.

Electronics can absolutely be made to work 24/7, 365 days a year, for 30 years. It's just that consumer electronic companies don't make money from that.

jou say this but picrel i posted in the OP is a panasonic let's note and it fixes everything fa/g/s have been complaining for years
>durable
>easy to repair, upgradable
>removable battery
>great keyboard
>long battery life
>every port imaginable
>retro design
>solid customer support
but yet it flopped when it tried to reach global audiences, nobody outside of japan buys it, and nobody tries to copy it either, while macbooks with soldered ram that break in 2 years top the charts
similar stories everywhere-consumers complain, company listens and makes a product the sales are pitiful

Almost like consumers are retarded cattle that just want shiny things they don't have to tinker with.
>>
>>727669101
idgi. why do the people who get constantly enraged online and shit on new products for being anti-consumer keep buying them up instead of good alternatives?
>>
>>727668476
I despise Siemens PLC jews
>>
>>727668258
fragile
Every laptop Ive owned since the mid 90s still works fine
I can still boot up my Digital DEC laptop and play Civilization 2 on it
>>
>>727668258
so you buy more of them
>>
>>727669369
because good alternatives are not being advertised, if you release a product on a saturated market without constantly hammering every webpage known to mankind about it then no one will buy because they'll just think your product is like any others.
then there's also the brand effect, retards that keep buying Apple shit will never buy anything else because it's not Apple, this can also be applied to other brands.
>>
>>727668258
Probably affordability.
I can imagine If they gave us a MacBook with a 5090 in it that fucking thing would cost $6000+

So instead they give us a solid cpu, gpu, ram, etc and wrap it all up in dollar store wiring and a plastic body made out of used milk jugs.
>>

worst proposal i've ever heard

Is getting an old computer worthwhile like how CRTs are?
>>
>>727670509
autists buy old laptops(usually thinkpads) because they're super durable but computers no

They are clearly doing this shit on purpose. It's all about making you spend more.

i really like laptops
>>
>>727668917

its a one off device, the problem is that everything in the list you mentioned isnt common. its hard to track down replacement parts, you probably specifically have to talk to panasonic

the steam deck is an example of something done right, you can open it up, mod/repair it, lots of community support and parts because everyone has one

also the model you showed, they could have at least put SOME effort into the looks. the outdated grey plastic looks like crap
>>
>>727675982
i hear the customer service is really good in japan, but outside the country parts will be super hard to find. but not really a problem if it becomes mainstream, there's a reason thinkpads are crazy popular in america bc companies buy them up and sell them used so there's a bunch of spare parts lying around
also let's be real the design sucks but it's not like other brands do any better
>>
>check youtube review of panasonic laptop
>goycattle shitting on it for removable batteries praising macbook in the comments
absurd

If not for it running Windows 11, I would have mistaken this for a laptop from the 2000s. Whose bright idea was it to have a circular trackpad?

why do poorfags hate apple so much?

>why do poorfags hate apple so much?
Oh I don't know, it could be that they force component manufacturers to sell only to Apple, which means that repair shops can't get their hands on any of the necessary components to do repairs. Apple literally has a manufactured monopoly on repairs.
>>
When I was taking my CompTIA certs the instructor spent at least five class sessions just shitting on Apple. They have a reputation.

laptops are shit you dumb cunt
>>
>>727682410
For most modern MacBooks for instance the integral components are soldered to the board and can't be purchased by retailers. Most retail shops have to scavenge parts from older models or be a part of Apples official repair program, but even then they do not have access to many parts needed.

>hard to repair
Lenovo actually offers spares and repair guides to their hardware. I've changed heatsink and keyboard on my Legion 5 Pro laptop earlier this year. Steam Deck is also very repairable. Your statement is false.
>>
>>727668258
Because it's cheaper for the consumer and more profitable for the manufacturer. Buy a Framework Laptop if you want repairability and upgradeability anon. Those are features you have to pay for.
>>
>>727683242
>Because it's cheaper for the consumer
It isn't. Making a Laptop's components replaceable doesn't add any extra cost to the manufacturing. The only reason why they want to make it harder to replace your own parts is because they want to upsale you on the repair; they want the consumer to HAVE to go to them for the repair because it ensures a second revenue stream after the original sale.

Having replaceable components is possible and done by companies like >>727682878

Glue is cheaper than screws
>>
>>727668258
i bought a fucking wireless mouse a year ago and this is the THIRD FUCKING ONE that started double clicking
fucking hell i had my old qpad 5k for like 10 years and it only failed because i yanked on the cord too many times
>>
>>727683242
>fragile shit
no
>>
>>727668258
Combining multiple functions into single chips is cheaper and reduces costs, but because the entire thing is soldered together you can't replace the broken pieces of it. Hence why if your controller's circuit board breaks you have to replace the entire thing.
>>
>>727683665
What manufacturer uses glue today?
>>
>>727683741
and by third one i meant that i replaced it two times since last january, how the fuck is it possible to make electronics that don't even last half a year before catastrophically failing?
>>
>>727683665
Companies like Apple use solder and the cost difference is minimal. You can get a roll of solder for 10$ or a complete set of laptop screws for 8-9$

>>727683242
