My biggest annoyance are intentionally corny "dad" jokes that literally everyone does now. It's become such a staple of modern video game writing that you practically cannot avoid it. Literally every game has a character make an intentionally dumb joke and the response is always something like>ugh, I can't believe you said thator even worse they say the joke alone and they respond to it themselves >ugh, I can't believe I said thatI want all the (female) writers responsible for this shit fired and removed from the industry because I fucking loathe it. If you want humor in your game, at least make an attempt to be actually funny, write an actually funny joke don't write one where the joke is "le corny, le get it? le intentionally le bad le humor le upvote me" it's the most reddit shit on the planet, it is basically every top voted comment on reddit for the past 15 years.
