While it has its flaws for pure spooks I think 4 is the scariest of the franchise. Henry is a bit lame though.

Don't know about it being better than 1 and 3 but it's def a good game in it's own right.For the past 10 years or so people have been warming up to SH4, I always believed the hate the game received was underserved.

I liked them and they reminded me of being chased by enemies outside in 1 which 2 and 3 lacked. Had a decent atmosphere and was pretty spooky sometimes. But the game did have issues making it not that great to play after a while. I replayed 1-3 multiple times but didn't want to replay 4.

>>727673908By no means am I saying the game isn't flawed, it will always be hindered by the fact that you have to go through the same areas again while escorting an NPC while making sure she doesn't take any damage, it's really as low as it gets.IMO it doesn't drag the game from the things it does right, but that's just me tho.
