Honestly Crusader Kings 2 and Victoria 2 are the only "good" games this company ever made.Every other game, including all iterations of Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron, is somewhere between below average and shit. All their games post CK2 are definitely shit.It is strange that there is so little competition in this genre. Even if Civ is the market leader, there was (and still is!) always competition in the 4x space. Why can't that happen here?

>>727677643That's understandable. Because it's not a strategy game.It looks like one. They advertise it as one. But in actuality it is an open-ended RPG with strategy game style combat rather than turn-based or real time like most RPGs have. It's more like Mount & Blade, but you play a family rather than a dude.There are very few RPGs that operate on this level, so it wins by default.They halfway understood this for CK3, but they fucked it up by trying to make it The Sims instead, while making the game even easier (which is saying something since CK2 is piss easy) and also filing off the historical autism.
