I wanted to like this game so much but its so bad
>>
Terminal coomers will tell you it's great.
It isn't.
>>
Still better than X and 3
>>
Its just the greatest JRPG of all time. Too bad the series died with 3
2 > 1 > X >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>3

Once you start Rolling Smashing and Double Spinning Edgeing you never stop
>>
How the fuck do Xenoblade threads attract shitposter so fast? Do you guys have phone alerts set up?
>>

I know it's a meme answer nowadays, but this game hee unofficially becomes better in the second half, at or after chapter 5. Chapter 3 is the longest because it opens up so much stuff in the world.

If you want a tip: ignore pretty much every sidequest and the blade upgrade stuff ("kill x of y to unlock" shit) and just cheat that things in.
>>
Definitely better once you get into the combat mechanics, but yeah it's one of these games that I would call good while acknowledging several rough spots.
Hope to see a remaster of it one day

Homura sexo

Yeah. XC3 is way better. Same with XC1 and XCX. XC2 is the black sheep of the series with coomer bait designs.
>>
There must be some genuine curse on humanity that makes the worst entry in a series of good games become the most popular one.
It happens so consistently I refuse to believe it's just a matter of poor taste.
>>
>>727675738
Same. XC1DE was fucking amazing, so I had high expectations of the second one.
Then I started playing it, and...
>realistic stylization replaced with chibi overly-anime
>anime tropes out of the fucking ass
>horrendous localization that removes all meaning from the story
>literally no reason to fight, ever; quests give you more exp than combat ever will
>one of the worst combat systems i've ever experienced (and it's very funny seeing people struggle with it)
>there's barely any tension during the story, even during "dangerous" scenes
>the game is also a fucking gacha
>>
>>727675738
Homura is cute though
>>
>>727678996
>horrendous localization that removes all meaning from the story
And what meaning did it remove exactly?
>>
>>727678967
It's the curse of (your) shit taste.
>>
cant be worse than 1 can it?
>>
>>727679107
I considered that but I have it on good authority that it's not the case.
>>
>>727678996
1 was also tropey, but there's no denying the insane ramp up 2 had, and it went for more slice-of-life tropes over shonen ones.
The gacha can also be entirely ignored aside from like two checks in the game. There are also plenty of story and quest blades that you can easily fill your entire party with names ones instead of the generic guys.
>>
>>727679418
Why ignoring it though, just pull with cores you find.
>>
>>727679106
The localization (more like censorship) replaced direct references to Abrahamic religion (translating 'God' to 'Divine Architect', 'Eden' to 'Elysium', etc.).
For instance, the names of the Titans you visit are originally named after the seven deadly sins, with the name corresponding to the sin the nation resides on it is committing.
And the entire origin myth you're told at the beginning is quite literally a retelling of the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden, which the localization corrupts entirely.

XC2 is in actuality a very religious game, how weird that might sound.
>>
>>727679418
>slice-of-life tropes
A single scene in a hot spring and Mythra making up in your bed?
>>
>>727679418
>you can ignore the gacha
>but you can't ignore the gacha
So which is it?
>>
>>727679525
>XC2 is in actuality a very religious game, how weird that might sound.
No? That's not weird at all it's a Takahashi game, they're all steeped with gnosticism and I don't think any of that is lost by removing the braindead naming so that you can't miss it.
>>
>>727679692
>That's not weird at all
Tell it to the average weeb who loves XC2 and they'll declare you their mortal enemy.
>>
>>727679469
The complaint was about the gacha's existance, so I was pointing out you don't need to interact with it.
Obviously if you don't have any issue it there's no reason to not pull as you progress.
>>727679528
Rex's early rationships with Pyra and Mythra, slapstick scenes, Zeke's routine, Tora's personality, there's a bunch of stuff that makes it a a different vibe.
>>727679569
You can ignore it up to a single point, where you use it to progress, then go back to pretending it doesn't exist.
>>
>>727679743
I do not care about the person you've made up in your head to be honest
>>
>>727679746
>You can ignore it up to a single point
So you can't ignore it.
>>727679761
This might shock you, but people have their own thoughts and opinions. Most do not share yours.
I know this might be hard to understand to some people with certain types of autism.
>>
>>727679803
Okay then could you post one of these people?
>>
What's the point of Nia? She didn't bring anything positive to the game or fandom.
>>
>>727679803
>So you can't ignore it.
Sure but I don't think one moment in a 50+ hour game is worthy of complaint.
>>
>>727679569
You can but there is 0 reason to
