WTF it came out

its ok

+great atmosphere, audio and visuals, and runs crazy good for ue5 game, 4k native no problem
-puzzles are confusing, plot is generic ancient alien virus stuff every sf horror game does

why no threads?

There isn't much to talk about. It's short and very linear.

Considering people have been talking about it for over a decade, I'd say it warrants a thread.
>>

people waited for an immersive sim survival horror
got rugpulled and its a walking sim scam, like scorn
>>
>>727677097
scorn sucked ass though, this game has a lot of good about it, i really like the UI and stuff
but my problem is that it feels like a series of tiny rooms, and each one is seperated by a loading screen

one one hand i guess its good since the puzzles would be even more anoying with all the pixel hunting, one other it makes it feel very small scale

its a 4 hours walking sim, fuck off

I don't know what either of you are on about. Scorn was great for what it was. An atmospheric 6-8 hour romp through a Giger/Beksinski museum with decent puzzles to complete and body horror monsters to kill. It's not unlike any other survival horror game, but it's great in that it presents a unique, alien world to explore, and lets you figure out its rules and find meaning in its ambiguous, symbolism-rich story. The only ones upset by Scorn are the retards who tricked themselves into thinking it was boomer shooter-adjacent from the trailer (because guns and gore), or a Bio/System Shock clone, somehow. Midwits letting pre-release notions colour their experience of a game is an age-old tale.
>immersive sim survival horror
The game advertises itself on Steam as a "First Person Sci-Fi Horror", so how you got imsim out of that is beyond me. I'll give you survival horror, but even judging from the trailers alone, it's clearly a short, linear game.

i liked the idea of scorn, but there is just too much running in circles
but whats even bigger problem is the clunky awful combat that relies on cheesing the AI, i have 0 idea how you are supposed to play without abusing collision and enemy pathing

>3 hours walking sim
>took them 15 years to make
>devs had a whole year to make 12 minutes of gameplay
and people say being a gamedev is hard lmfao
>>
>>727676875
How long is the game
>>
>>727678963
around 5h, longer if you are slow with puzzles
though it is only 20$

They changed concept a lot over the decade.
But I really had fun. 10 hours of deep exploration and just enjoying the vibes.

there was a several hundred posts long thread yesterday or the day before. you're just late. it's better than a lot of other horror games you can buy on steam for the same price

people spoke about it on the first announcement then forgot about it for 10 years

Literally when I had to stop playing. I'm too much of a pussy for that kind of shit.
