I'm sure there are plenty like Lunar: Dragon Song or the various Tinkerbell games which will likely never see a port to anywhere else, but there's really nothing preventing them from being released on Steam or a mobile device. Even the VNs can just use two screens. But Kid Icarus and Ninja Gaiden needed to be held on the side like an open book to play, and that would probably be difficult even with both screens on a touchpad.
