Gaming Journalism

hmm, so true

Gaming journalism was always shit.

uh huh

But there are different degrees of shit, and gaming journalism is now shittier than it has been in the past.
Trust me, I know a lot about shit and degrees of shit because I have studied shit. I'm and Indian man, and I like to print out twitter-opinions from game journos and stick them all over my body, and even my fellow indians think I am repulsive.

It was always just as shit as it is now, you just didn't play every game or have access to every journalist to cross-check just how full of shit they were.
All this ridiculous engagement farming shit is also separate from journalism, it's the equivalent of being followed around by a ranting homeless man and paying him a dollar to fuck off.

You get what you pay for.

Nope. It actually used to be good once. In the late 90s-2000s I would decide whether to buy a game based on getting 8+ IGN score. It was pretty much always right.
You can't begin to imagine how much has been taken away from you.

Nah, you were just too young to notice.
