That's why the golden age was pre iphone, back when they were a minority and had to fit in with the nerds and outcasts, giving us scene girls, weaboo girls, and other subcultures from the early to mid 2000s. The second they attained a large enough userbase, they turned the internet into just another sexual selection ground where they enforce societal norms, because that's the environment most beneficial to them.
