holy shit niggers did you know you can run x86 game on phones now
>>727682648>temp 80.7 Cnigga the phone is melting
>>727682706yeah AAA stuff is probably a stretch but this is great for indie and 2d games
>>727682648>80.7LMFAO
>>727682706Those SoCs are designed to run at these temps. Its retarded but thats how it is. Its not like PC hardware is any better in that regard since modern Ryzens start to throttle at 105 and 90 degrees is listed as optimal operational range even by AMD lol. What should worry you is battery temperature because as I said modern ARM chipsets can easily sustain those temps long term.
>>727682648Gamehub?Tried it, it's okay but still needs lots of work. Still, it's promising.
>>727682648>FPS 42Multiply that by 10 and we'll talk.
>>727683753>Those SoCs are designed to run at these tempsthey lose like half their performance at those temps. its one of the major reasons the chink handheld market exists because they use those same exact chips but slap a big cooler on them so they run at full speed 24/7/365 instead of only 2 minutes.
>>727682648NOOOOO BUT MUH STEAM ECK!!!!!
>>727683753>What should worry you is battery temperature>Above 45°C (113°F): High risk of permanent damage, swelling, and rapid degradation.Oh yeah, it's gaming time.
>>727686731Manufacturers throttling shit doesnt mean chipset cant sustain those temps. Some throttle shit on OS level like ,launching browser with 8 tabs with Youtube will throttle your device already because CPU temp reached 50 degrees lol. Samsung especially loves doing this they even underclock by default so you have to spoof apps as antutu benchmark so OS will remove default underclocks on both CPU and GPU.
>>727687209all I know is dont use a phone for gaming because they rarely have fans in them and if they do its on a almost non existent heatsink. just look at op image how the fps curve is going down as time goes on because its throttling.
>>727687476I mean its obvious you should use a cooler when you're gaming. I use my phone for PS2 emulation without issues with cheap chink cooler and my battery temp never reaches over 30 degrees after 2 hours of playing, thats less than it does while slow charging too.
>>727687148steam 'rame is using the same x86 -> amd64 technology
>>727682648It's cool to see this sort of setup grow in popularity, I love it for emulation.
>>727687148this is literally using tech made by Valve for their new Arm headset anon
