I liked it and it's my second favorite game this year behind Death Stranding 2. I prefer Hollow Knight but Silksong was still high quality with some frustrating parts. Still had a lot of content and new ideas for only $20.

It just encourages you to just spam them at the end stretch of a boss fight, rather than naturally using them throughout the fight. And it punishes the player with grinding if they fail that.The way it works as a resource is a lot more boring and tedious than how you regain mana. The fact you can only have so much mana capacity and you only regain mana from attacking enemies, that offers more fun syngergy and resource management that allows spells to be used more naturally throughout the fight. That can't be said for the same for red tools. It really does feel like TC just didn't know how to balance red tools well.
It was a quality experience, lots of options for combat, branching paths, fun bosses, but too damn big, I can already tell I will probably never replay it
