I haven't played Prime 4 but Skyward Sword gets more hate than it deserves. There are some stunning visuals and the critique of 'you just go back to the same three locations multiple times' is silly given how different the locations are each time you go to them.The legitimate criticisms are Fi being a bit annoying (It is overblown but still true to an extent), lack of side content/secrets, and the lack of enemy variety.Dungeons are awesome. Bosses are cool. Story is cool. Motion controls are not an issue and I actually thought they were pretty good with Motion Plus or whatever it was called.SS was more fun than Twilight Princess, largely because of the pacing.

Skyward Sword by far.Prime 4 has some of the highest highs of the prime series, such as Ice Belt, even if it has the lowest lows with the desert and fetch quest.Skyward sword was just bland. It had a good villain and great music, but there was never a moment where you're playing and thinking "if they didn't do this it could have been the best zelda"
I liked Skyward Sword even on the Wii release, so I'm going with SS.

Great question. I dropped both very early. Both games feature new mechanics that generally suck, and also managed to completely fail at iterating on a tried-and-true formula. I think I'd go with Prime 4, because the bullshit in this game is so forced that it feels like the devs are fucking trolling you.

Skyward sword actually kicks ass. Every part is essentially a dungeon/puzzle. You can clearly see how they built off of it for botw and totk. The only downside is that stupid toenail boss monster repeat fight. That forest flooding was pure kino. Also all the items are continuously used throughout the game.

It all but eliminated the overworld and turned EVERYTHING into a dungeon puzzle. The only hint of real exploration in the game is goddess cubes, and the game gives you the dowsing mechanic to trivialize that aspect of it.

Skyward sword on the switch is pretty decent. It has some shortcomings but makes up for them with some cool dungeons and bosses. I got it for 30 bucks and was happy with my purchase. Haven't played prime 4 yet.
