It is much more important to look good on a macro level than a micro one. Art design and art direction play a much bigger role in a good looking game than 8K textures do, these textures are just a waste of resources and time.

I pirated it and would have probably regretting paying more than like $25 bucks for it, because it’s like a literal 1:1 with a new graphics engine and tweaked controls, but the animations and how sluggish snake is to control almost go against it. I think if you’ve played mgs3 and like it, it’s cool to see it updated, but if you’re a purist autist who can’t seperate a remake from the original, you may hate it. IMO, snake controls noticeably worse, there are spots where you can tell they didn’t give a fuck to fix the AI, like in the swamp section guards spot you from 300 yards out and can hear gunshots from a silencer, but somehow your loud ass swimming noises don’t alert them. So minor laziness changes they didn’t care to fix, but overall it was fun. That’s my genuine opinion.
