I think it was a sekiro situation where they didn't expect the success it got and so had no plans to develop it afterwards. Even though From has a pretty short turn around it's still usually 3-4 years of cross development. Plus we got an okay number of balance updates.

I remember seeing listings of them looking for mech designers so hopefully they come out with AC7 with plans to support it.
Worse case we wait for heavy gear 3
