It's weird because it looks like Yi has a personal problem with Goumang being obsessed with raw industrial efficiency and not being afraid to use unethical methods to achieve it, including tinkering with brains, but then considering Yi's past history... Why aren't they best friends again? I strongly get the feeling that Yi's interaction with Goumang was written early in the story production and didn't take into consideration further plot twists.
