In the past, I have found that Valve is very lenient with their refund policy so long as I have not played a game for longer than 2 hours. On the 1st of November, I bought and played a shitty early access game a friend recommended to me and accrued about 20 minutes of playtime. Yesterday, I requested a refund. This is my first time EVER getting a refund rejected. Their reasoning was that it was outside the 2 week window, but I've done successful refunds on games I bought several months in the past. This policy would be understandable if this was a new account, but my account is about 20 years old, not to mention I spend hundreds on Steam each year. Has Valve recently changed how lenient they are on refunds? This will honestly impact my buying habits on Steam, I used to take a chance on games knowing that I could do a "sweep" later and refund the ones I didn't like. If they're going to start being more anal about the 2 week window then I'm just not going to purchase games that I don't plan to immediately play.

No shit they aren't going to give you a refund over a month after you bought the game
>>727700650i only had 20 minutes in it, and they've refunded me several times in the past even if i had bought it 2-3 months prior>>727700579just wondering if anyone else has found that Steam has become less lenient with their refund policy
>>727700856>they've refunded me several times in the past even if i had bought it 2-3 months priorYou just got lucky. I've gotten refunds for games that I've played over 2 hours before and sometimes they get denied. You're literally at the discretion of whatever steam support bot or unpaid intern looks at your ticket
>>727700942sad to hear. I know in the past (although this was probably like 5-6 years ago at this point) refunds had a reputation for being extremely lenient so long as you weren't abusing it.
>>727700414Steam went to shit after they removed the volunter system. The pajeets or whatever AI they installed that responses to your support tickets all are braindead retarded faggots that cant even restore falsely reported content you posted.I had a retarded chink stalker who constantly reported my account and since Valve is so retarded it triggered an automatic wipe of my profile. In the past the supporter would just restore it but the pajeets will just give you the "hehehe sorry we cant lol" excuse and do jack while also confirming that I was indeed reported.Fuck Valve. Worst part is these reports add up to your account and you may end up getting faster community bannedI'm not surprised that they're now being bitches with refunds. The pajeets propably have absolute 0 tools to do anything and the valve workers are too busy wanking each other off in Gabes new Yacht
Karen thread
>>72770085>>727701090their refund policy is exactly the same as day one. 2 weeks since purchase or 2 hours of steam playtime. they will only bend the rules in some circumstances (when GTA5 got updated and stopped working on legacy machines they refunded people who bought it years ago), this aint one of those circumstances chief. You getting a refund because you don't like the game is them giving you the benefit of the doubt (game is broken on PC).
>>727700414Had you bought something you could actually own, you'd simply be able to sell the unwanted game on the secondhand market.
Let me guess OP still uses Speccy on his PC too
>>727700579Karen these nuts, my dude.
