gameplay design is the same as it was in 1997. If you've played GT2/4/6/Sport, you've played 7. They need to do something different to get me back in, and this is coming from someone who bought a PS2 and PS3 pretty much JUST for GT.

Everytime GT7 pops on my mind I briefly think>oh yeah, GT2/3/4 were kino back in the days, I need a PS5But then I remember the shitty race design that killed these games ever since GT6 where you start in the back of a massive grid and there's no racing at all actually, you just easily overtake all 10 or 20 slow ass drivers until you're inevitably first. It's pathetic, that's not a race, ironically that's the type of race you'd find in older arcade games, except these games were hard enough that it was very fun and meaningful to get anyway near the podium (it took me months of daily Daytona USA 2 to consistently drive fast enough to beat that game)

AI still drives on rails. 50 different versions of a skyline again. Limited customization. It does look pretty on a big tv but it still feels soulless and boring underneath with a bizzare career mode based on restaurant menus.

Gran Turismo is a game for people who likes cars, because the entire game revolves around that premise. Not the races, not the autismo simulation, CARS.You can wash your car, tune up your car, change the oil, take pretty photos of your car, play driving lessons to get licenses... It's all done for car enjoyers, not for people who wants to drive on famous locations or jump off a cliff in Mexico.
