I just like having all my games in one place.

>>727702180this enrages the /v/eets
>>727702180You should diversify to mitigate risk
>>727702465they are paid by sweeny.so call them sweets
My dad lost access to his steam account because the email he used to sign up with was deactivated due to not being used.He petitioned steam about it and said they were stealing his games he paid for but they refused to help him and he never got his account back. He swore off of steam forever after that. This could happen to anyone at any time for any reason because you don't actually own your account or games. If that's not a good enough reason to use services other than steam, nothing is.
>>727703124your dad is a retard
>>727703124>>727703183Dad hereIt's true im sorry son

>>727702180Same>laughs in russian tracker
The real truth nobody wants to admit is that steam was terrible. It ripped us all out of physical games and forced us into the digital and it was terrible. Nobody wanted to even sign up for steam and most people held out playing counterstrike and tfc via the wan servers until the very end.The reason everyone clings to steam is because of shame, regret, and trauma. We were forced into something we wanted nothing to do with and we sure as hell arent going to start willingly using ANOTHER digital bullshit platform.
>>727706413Physical PC Gaming was already dead before Steam got popular, zoomers shouldn't be allowed to post.
>>727702180>literally had this same mentality with netflix when it first became a streaming service>see all my favorite shows and movies get purged from netflix to move to other jewish streaming servicesi miss when it was just hulu and netflix
>>727702334thisand/or c:\gog
>>727702180No you see this is different from being an Apple fanboy because
>>727707214>having all games in one place, steam >:(>having all games in one place, gog :)
>>727706504>Physical PC Gaming was already dead before Steam got popular, zoomers shouldn't be allowed to post.It wasn't. I was still buying physical PC games in 2009
>>727707345im saying this as a steamfag. the major con of steam is the fact that drm exists. one day all these games can be taken away from you or steam can suddenly turn into a more jewish platform and force people to pay monthly for their services. gog at least can let you keep your shit even though the store front fucking sucks
>>727706504physical remained well after steam started.
>>727704064Your dad sounds like a retard lol
>>727707943started != got popular, PC retail was already being replaced by consoles which led to the creation of Steam, and PC physical remained pitfully tiny.
>>727706606If you won't subscribe to Poob just to watch your favorite show then you probably don't like it as much as you think you do.
>>727704064>no cell phone>>727708143
>>727707943Lmao DVD-drives were already optional when steam started. I remember this
>>727707943Physical was a thing but it was the exception, everyone was moving towards digital distribution, usually done by the devs themselves. Then later on it all went to Steam
>>727703124>you will own nothing
>>727709703when steam released was ps2 erai dont remember downloading ps2 games, except i did need to install an optional hard drive to play ff11
