the term has evolved in recent years, from someone who joins a fanbase after a sequel/spinoff to now someone who consumes the fanwork without even coming in contact with the actual medium. movies, books, tv, and of course video games. in a way that doesn't make you look like a "crazy obsessed fan," how do you deal with this issue? websites like twitter, instagram, tumblr, and yes, even 4chan, make it incredibly easy for more people to access and discuss games without even playing said game, so what say you?
>>727706194>even 4chanTrue but somehow I feel that this is the only place where I can discuss topics with other obsessive rats, even if at worse they're the 1%. I mean, at least here I can find those kind of posters. The thing is, when and where they will post. Another option are altchans but most are painfully slow, and the fastest one is cancer, and literal malware
>>727706194No one uses "secondary" anymore, they say "tourists" to mean the same thing
>>727709115A secondary is someone who engages with a work via an adaptation. A tourist is someone who doesn't even engage with the work and is just there to comment on shit.
>>727709281I meant that people use it to mean the same thing, mostly zoomers, not that its used correctly. So yeah, whats your point on the op? There will always be people that discuss about media that they haven't interacted with at all. You think people weren't dissing Shakespeare as a piece of crap without ever reading it 400 years ago? There's no solution to this "problem".
