Prime 4 is the first Metroid Prime game where locking on won't save you, even with lock on you must make precise adjustments to aim properly. Even from the 1st and 2nd bosses.

Let's be real, Nintendo reviewers are generally not into fps games. They probably cant aim worth a damn. So these guys play the game on Easy (like all game journos do), then try to rush through the game and get mogged by the fact that you actually have to aim. "This is so much harder than Splatoon!". I am not sure how true it is, but apparently on Easy Myles talks as much as possible because the game assumes youre a retard or a games journalist and need his guidance.

There's a reason why the PC gaming oriented outlets who review Prime 4 are rating it so much higher, those guys can actually aim and can see its one of the best first person adventure games, comparable to Half-Life or Portal series. And now we can see from audience reviews, the audience loves this game way more than the Nintendo soiboi reviewers who can't hit a woodplank in a barnyard.

Samus lost
Atsu won
Her game beat Samus' game in Metacritic score.
Also sales, there's no way Samus' game is reaching 3.3 million sales on its first month. Nintendo game relies heavily on Japan and Nintendo of Japan is paying to broadcast Donkey Kong Bananza ads instead of Metroid Prime 4, LMAO.
And revenue, because believe it or not, Prime 4 cost $100 million while Ghost of Yotei cost $60 million, despite Prime 4 looking like a PS3 game.
By every metric, Atsu won and Samus lost.
Imagine losing to a tranny, I'd be embarrassed if I were a Metroid fan right now

oh no

Anyways I'd rather play the better game. Prime 4 is the best looking Nintendo game of all-time and the best first person adventure since Portal 2. Game critics are all fags. Modern gamers are all fags. Only millennial uncs like me are the arbiters of truth and justice in a world that has become overrun with faggots like a zombie apocalypse.

Not really no, the revised lock-on option fixes it
>>
>>727711545
Revised lock-on? But don't you still have to aim at precise weak points of the bosses? How does it even compensate for that?
>>
>>727710658
Literally who?
>>
>>727711802
Revised Lock-on simply adds a sub-lock-on system.
For example, take the boss from the intro. The main lock-on point is still the creature itself, pointing directly at it's center. But, you can just press the right joystick toward one of the four weak-points to have the arm canon automatically aim at them, with no precision or real thought required by you the player. A sub-lock.

I was gonna link a video, but >>727713359 explained it well enough.
But here's the video anyway. Shows it in action with the store demo against the first boss. Mind the yapping.

Oh I didn't even know this was a feature. Is this only in stick mode? I have been playing with pointer controls with maxed sensitivity, 0 dead zone and maxed camera sensitivity. Feels more like playing a game on PC with mouse and keyboard.

It's not even being called a bad game, it's being called a great game rather than a masterpiece. I think people who can actually play this game properly will place it closer to masterpiece than just great.
>>
>>727713940
Yeah. It's a twin-stick mode option, which is what I've been using. I've been tweaking things a lot to try and get a similar feeling to Breath of the Wild. Stick for main aim movement, motion for minor adjustment. I saw the Revised Lock-on option, checked it out, and immediately turned it off. That just makes things too easy IMO.
