>let's make the first level the most complex in the entire game
Why does uncslop do this?

OP is brown. So gay.

Because it's all about the "first impressions" bait. They want to wow you with tight corridors, overlapping systems, and like five different enemy types up your ass before you even grasp the controls. Then the rest of the game is just a downhill hike with a shotgun and barebones drama. They peaked early and hoped you wouldn’t notice.

>liberty island
>complex

That's a good one.
>>

This. You can skip 90% of Liberty Island just by running around the edges of the map.

Tbh, games peaking early isn’t just a problem that some older games had. Newer games have that problem too. Modern Ubisoft games are particularly infamous for this.

In the case of games like Deus Ex though, the relative simplicity of the levels near the end of the game is usually down to the devs running out of time/money, so they make compromises in the last levels so you can have a good first impression from the first few.

What are games that are the opposite of uncslop? What is a zoomers perfect game?
>>
>>727712062
fortnite, roblox, minecraft

Video games have tons of cut content and concessions made to get them out in a timely manner.

I'd remove fortnite. I know it's a zoomie's favorite, but I think that completely aimless sandbox games that you can't lose, like minecraft, are the opposite of ye games of old. At least fortnite has a win/lose condition.
>>
its not just bait, anti refund or whatever, in anything you remember the mid climax, the start and the end the most apparently so you always have to make these very good. who in thir right mind would make a bad start for their game

also who the fuck had that feeling of beign ripped off? game was good all throughout
>>
>>727708249
I've tried to play KotOR2 twice and each time I just lose steam after Peragus. I know I should probably skip it but I'm not willing to do so
>>
>>727708249
This is every immersive sim, they peak at the beginning cause you have limited tools and have to use your head. The first half of deus ex is a decent stealth game, the second half is just a boring first person shooter
>>
>>727708249
all games do this
they run out of time and budget so second half of every game is rushed and less detailed
>>
>>727708249
First level in Doose Sex is done in about 15 minutes if even that, retard.

Complex is shit like Hong Kong
>>
>>727715167
Some games have outstanding final acts though.

I usually find it’s games that are extremely ambitious that have a slight quality drop at the end.
>>
>>727715302
Last time I played Dude Sex, I was still finding new places in Hong Kong. God that game's great.

It's called a "vertocal slice" zoomzoom. It's introducing you to what the game has to offer without overwhelming you or having a tutorial hold your hand.

Don't you ever use the sovlless corporatespeak unironically again. And double check your spelling.

Brainlet who never got past the first level.

Yes because everyone who plays the game the first time will know to do that, retard
>>
>>727717313
That’s literally what I did on my first playthrough because I was being stealthy.

>mea culpa

You have a better term for the concept?
>>
>>727717313
That’s what I did because I thought the entry way was intentionally heavily guarded to give you a hint to find a way around which iirc led to me using the cargo crates to jump in on the third floor thus missing the unatco base, gunther, the informant, and most of the enemies on the ground.
