I mean if you count a games section at like target or best buy maybe a few years.I do buy a physical game on pre-order from best buy or target every now and then though, mostly a new PS5 release. Got Ghost of Yotei and Death Stranding 2 at target this year as a pick up order on the release day

We used to have a Gamestop but obviously that's gone now.No, the atmosphere will never be the same as a typical game shop anymore. I kinda miss it now. We do have a couple of chains (such as Puolenkuun pelit) that emulate that but we don't have one here.

There was this cool retro game store that sold more than 7th gen/PS2 crap at this mall I used to go to. They went out of business though which made me really sad.

There's this stereotypical 40 year old bald fat guy working there being rude to everyone for no reason other than because he's fat and miserable. He reminded me why I stopped frequenting gamestop other than the one closest to my house randomly shutting down. They hire the worst kinds of fucking people that I just don't want to deal with on a regular basis. It's either a walking reddit stereotype or some aggressive bull dyke that hates men but chose to work in a space that is supposed to cater to us.
>>727714060I haven't been in a gamestop since smash ultimate came out...so exactly 7 years ago. I just get everything digitally now. It's soulless but I don't really have space to put my physical games at without it looking messy. I do miss collecting game boxes though, so if I ever get a house (LOL in today's econamy) maybe I'll switch back to physical, but it'll probably be too late I'm fully expecting and already embraced the all digital future.
