They basically had to scramble and even bring devs from one of their other studios onboard to salvage the damage Inafune had done to the game. It really shows in some areas, especially Swolean Island. It's actually kind of a miracle the game turned out as good as it did.

It's a type of RPG I like to call checklist slop.It is constantly giving you objectives to do so you can see a big shiny OBJECTIVE COMPLETE every 10 minutes and then hours pass before you realize you aren't having any fun, you just like seeing things get completed.
