The audio logs are hilarious in that game but they’re taking the piss with Witness’ audio logs, that were just random quotes that seemed profound (except the abandoned hint board but that’s just a character who happens to be a wall panel). It wasn’t like, a Bioshock audio log series where off-screen characters are narrating a plot thread from the past.
